I'm catching the Regis right now, I got rock and steel.

Regice is starting to be a pain. I can't catch it. It's asleep at 1 HP and Ultra balls wiggle once! What the should I do?

Regice has a very low capture rate, which means it is much harder to catch than most other Pokemon. Regice would be the stereotypical legendary according to its capture rate. It just needs time to capture, that's all. I believe the Timer Ball is twice as strong as an Ultra Ball and four times as strong as the PokeBall - but that's if you have the patience to wait 40 turns. I'd also suggest Paralysis instead of Sleep since the Sleep condition heals over time while Paralysis is permanent with a wild Pokemon unless it has Refresh / Heal Bell / Aromatherapy, which Regice clearly doesn't. If you do not wish to change your methods, then keep trying. You will capture it eventually. The times that the PokeBall wiggles can be called irrelevent since sometimes the PokeBall wiggles three times, and the next turn it only wiggles once. Sleep / Paralysis and 1HP is about the best you can get.

Holy crap, ultra balls wigglin' at 1 hp and asleep! Dang man u are havin sum bad luck there. That used to always happen to me on the older games with snorlax. But yeah, keep tryin. Might suggest using a different ball like a heavy ball.

Woa, tough luck man. Tried using nest ball? I know the hearts are kinda annoying (made my fierce Groudon and Salamence look cute) but it works if your pokemon has a way higher level than the Regice.
Regice's level is way too high for that. Regice, when caught in the wild, is at level 40. The formula for the Nest Ball's effective rate is (40 - Opponent's Level) / 10. Which means 40 minus 40 is zero, and divide that by ten would still be zero. That means the Nest Ball will be as weak as than the PokeBall in this case. Just to clarify, the Nest Ball formula for effectiveness does not put your own Pokemon's level into its calculations. It only puts the opponent's Pokemon's level into calculations. So it doesn't really matter if you have a high leveled Pokemon of your own, it only matters that the opponents level is very low.

Easy! Use your master ball o.O

LOL, kidding! Hmm, dude...wait, you're a girl...uhhh pokemon is all about being patient... keep on going with the ultra balls and eventually, you'll get it!!
Ps: If you still cant get it after 2 or 3 days... then, theres definitely sumthin wrong but trust me, that wont happend... ok..... im sayin crappy stuff again.....

If you still have your masterball you could always clone it (if you are on Emerald) and then catch it with a Masterball, that's the easiest way. I know from experience that Regice is tough to catch, which is why Soft Resetting for good IVs takes ages without a Masterball, keep trying and you'll eventually get it.

Timer balls are your friends....They are great for long annoying battles...Thats how i caught all the Regis. Those Timer balls are magic.
Nien! this is a lie you are a liar timer balls are horrible and make we want to punch babies... I battled with rayqauza till it ran out of pp in every move and i use a timer ball every turn and i couldn't catch it even when it struggle down to almost no hp and paralazed from outrage...

Idk what to tell you... When I was catchin ghte regis' Regice was the hardest I tried at least 9 times I can remember... But I was battling him and the wierdest thing happened, Ok I only had one Pokeball left, and I used it and I caught it, but Regice's HP was only half way down...~True Story, lol
    Im Sorry I cant Help...:(

it happens my friend caught mewtwo in pokeball on his leaf green... the probability is like wining the lottery (tax on people who can't do math)

I'm sorry, but catching a legendary in a pokeball is nowhere near as unlikely as it is to win the lottery, the chances of catching a legendary in a pokeball are one in a few thousand compared to one in around 20 million for the lottery, Just thought I'd point that out.

    a. Timer Balls can be up to twice as powerful as an Ultra Ball
    b. Outrage doesn't paralyze you.

    Your statement is proven false.

Anyways, Regice is easily the hardest to catch, just persevere, it will work eventually.

i would use timer balls against it, because they become more effective the more turns used in battle. the thing is, if it fails to catch e.g. 2 wiggles, then the turns for the timer ball is reset to 0. i dont know why this is, but it seems that way when you use timer balls one after another. so if you dont catch it, use other balls or use different status change attacks to waste turns then use a timer ball again.
