6th Gen The Revolution

This is somewhat like Doronjo's in that it's based off a "what if" in regards to the region, however it could relate to anywhere really!

So one of the things that France is known for is the French Revolution. Lemme c/p a little from Wikipedia to explain!

The French Revolution (French: Révolution française; 1789–1799), was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France that had a lasting impact on French history and more broadly throughout the world. The absolute monarchy that had ruled France for centuries collapsed within three years. French society underwent an epic transformation, as feudal, aristocratic and religious privileges evaporated under a sustained assault from radical left-wing political groups, masses on the streets, and peasants in the countryside.[1] Old ideas about tradition and hierarchy–of monarchy, aristocracy, and religious authority–were abruptly overthrown by new Enlightenment principles of equality, citizenship and inalienable rights.

How would you feel if a major part of the games were related to class - and citizens were fighting for rights to do what they wanted? Like say if they weren't a certain social class they wouldn't be allowed in to a certain location - maybe even as bad as a gym? Or do you think something as heavy as the French Revolution won't be covered or referenced to? And even if these games aren't based on France, do you think class in general could become something of more important? If class was more evident would this shape the ways the games appear, especially if it improved the further you went on in the games, or say something couldn't be treated at certain Pokemon centers because they weren't upper class? How else do you think this issue/idea could be tackled? Also do you think this could lead to conflict, maybe even a small civil war between different towns or cities?

Thus far only Kanto's Lt. Surge has been the only one who has anything to do with a real life event, in all of Pokémon. Hoenn never had any mention on the atomic bomb dropped there (Nagasaki is in Kyushu which is the basis for Hoenn). Unova didn't have 9/11...or did it? (some say it did), nor did they mention it's revolution. So I doubt french history will show up in this one.

Something very similar to the French Revolution should be referenced somewhere in Pokémon X and Y if the games are going to be based off France.

It should be called the "Pokémon Revolution", where humans had ruled the region for centuries and once the monarchy of the humans had collapsed within 3 years, all the Pokémon underwent an epic transformation and fought back to have as equal rights as all the humans in the region do, then the kind humans that stood alongside Xerneas and Yveltal that were different from all other humans... they combined Xerneas and Yveltal's powers to create peace and for humans and Pokémon to be treated equally to each other.

The way you integrate it into the games is in scenes where your player visits a palace and someone there tells you the history of the place, how it once belonged to wealthy nobles back in the days when the XY Region had a queen or king. They would explain how the nobles collected lots of exotic Pokemon, but didn't treat them well so people put a stop to it and now everyone sings kumbaya around the fire. Or something like that.

If the games want to reference the revolutions of France and class issues they'd probably not want to do it by showing the current France-based region as having huge class issues since real France was one of the first places to try to tackle those problems in a big way.
