Ok, here is my deal, I have 142/150 pokemon caught on LG and working on emerald (have all the pokemon not on it traded from my saph and friends ruby). I'm looking to get Mew, Deoxys, Lugia, Ho-oh with out messing up my game. I DON'T want hacked items or pokemon which leaves the island warp codes. The warp codes are imo the only way to not hack an item or pokemon and get these pokemon. If I use the warp codes to get to the islands and catch the pokemon normally (w/o AR on) can my game get messed up in any way. I want to get all pokemon w/o having hacked items/ pokemon meaning I can't get Celebi or Jirachi. I will warp to island turn AR off, save, take AR out and catch pokemon, repeat will this mess up my game at all? (since i'm not leaving an item or pokemon hacked in my game?)

Nintendo will know you did it. (Having already caught the Mew but not having the ticket is an otherwise impossible state for your save.) They might ban you from tournaments for doing this. I would expect the Mew, itself, would still be legitimate. What do you need it for? (besides Pok?dex, which no one else would have, anyway) If you're trying to use it for a competition, I'd say you shouldn't, since it's unfair having something no one else can get.

As for Ho-Oh/Lugia, if you want them that bad, get Colosseum/XD. Or rent. These guys are ubers, so they're usually banned from tournaments, anyway.

For Jirachi, you might find the Bonus Disc on ebay or something.

I want them for completion and for playing around in game with. I don't play in tournaments or battle anyone (friends don't play pokemon). I just was wondering if I did the warp codes would my game get messed up or if i traded the pokemon to another game would it mess them up (the pokemon would be caught "legit") . I just don't want my hard work of catching all the other pokemon being erased.

I believe you're fine for that.

The risk is when you use cheats to modify an existing poke, synthesize one from nothing, or make pokes appear where they normally don't.

There are some codes that I have personally used (PAR) that do not harm your game; heck, I even caught a Celebi on Route 4 and my game is still just fine. I don't play in tourneys either...I also used the "Get Mew Box 1 Slot 1" code, and that will work fine for getting a Mew. Or 30.

I have also found that Buy Item codes are 100% safe, as my FireRed can still communicate with Colosseum with no issues and I bought some berries that I cannot get otherwise. So basically, as long as you're smart with using it and enter the codes correctly, you will be fine.
