So after looking around in Pokesav and other programs, I see these two particular items: The Rule Book, and The S.S Ticket.

I can tell: The S.S Ticket is from the Kanto league, but in RBGY, we don't know where it goes, so where does it go? And why is it in the Diamond and Pearl coding? I don't know if it's in Hoenn or not, but it may be in the 2nd generation. Was Nintendo planning to let the player go to the Kanto Region, and possibly it's next door neighbor, the Johto Region?

There is a code where you can access the S.S Ticket via Action Replay, but there is also Pokesav, where I found it on the list.

Now the Rule Book: I don't know what it's for. Maybe an event? Maybe for a tourney? I don't know.

There is also the Old Charm. I don't know... (EDIT: Nevermind, Cynthia gives it to you. )

I'll use this thread to discuss these two items, and any other weird items in the game, discuss it here.

I saw the rule book once when the GTS had a glitch on me. (I put up a Jirachi and when I looked at the summary, it showed a Dodrio holding a Rule Book. When I tried to take it back, it became a Jirachi again.) I heard that they are just Glitch items, but I am not too sure about that

oooh, are you saying you cn actually obtain these items or they are just in the coding like tje ??? arceus, is there a way to use AR to get the arceus form

Let's see, I think I read somewhere the rule book was meant to be a guide to Wi-Fi. Probably they thought it was a pointless idea. >_>

And the ticket. Well, you can hack it but it activates no events. They just left it. Who knows what they were thinking? Maybe Darkrai didn't always need a Hotel Pass. But I don't know why it references the Kanto cruise.

So u actually can get the S.S ticket. Cool, i will search for a code when i replace my AR friday

    That does seem useless.

Yeah, but this might be something they were planning in the games, like to go back to Kanto/Johto. But we don't know if a third game is coming or not, so it might be used there. Who knows where the S.S. Anne went in the game? In the anime, it blew up...

This excites me, i hope we can travel to all three other regions in the third input

I don't think they'll do a change so big in the plot for the third game.

Anyway, I'm still thinking about the S.S. Anne. You're right. They may have planned the player to travel to Kanto or Johto, or at least part of it, somewhere during development.

Like you guys are speculating, Nintendo does that a lot. i.e. Old Sea Chart, Missing no., Celebi. So they're probably just items Nintendo was going to use, and decided not to.

What is the old sea chart and what does celebi have to do with anything we are talking about

What is the old sea chart and what does celebi have to do with anything we are talking about

Old Sea Chart as in the ticket to get Mew, which was never released in NA
And Celebi, meaning as the Celebi overworld sprite found inside FR/LG.

He means that Nintendo like leaving planned things out, as in those examples.

@Ooka: I don't think missingno was "supposed" to be in the game.

    Ohohohmemememe! I have a theory.

In one of the TV commercials(in the game) it says something about a ship called the S.S. Sinnoh. Maybe thats what it was originally for?

EDIT: I used my webcam to take a picture of it, though it's blurry, you can still make out the words.
    "High-speed ferry S.S. Sinnoh.
    Bon voyage to safety!"

Also, in PokeSAV, I see a Key Item called "Red Chain". What about that?

That could be Sailor Eldritch's boat (that's the name of the sailor in Canalave City, right?), or the one from Snowpoint City to the Fight Area.

I suppose at one point, they planned for you to get the Red Chain that Cyrus made to bring out Dialga/Palkia. Can't imagine what you'd use it for, but I always thought it seemed odd you didn't get it.

The SS Ticket may be further evidence of a GS remake for the DS. The one big piece of evidence currently pointing to a remake is the fact theres Johto data in the Pokemon Details (Obtained where and when etc), when there is no possible link to Johto. Seeing as wasnt it the SS Ticket that initially took players to Kanto in Gold and Silver?

Hmmm, i dought that the boats already in game are the S.S, usually in pokemn games yo can go inside and battle other trainers and explore.

Most unlikely, all the S.S. Ships so far in each game have been pretty big. And if it was, Im sure those 2 sailors would call their ship the S.S. Sinnoh in game.

I was wondering about something The SS Ticket could be a clue towards a third installment because I have noticed on the Sinnoh Map there is two Unknown Islands so could The SS Sinnoh be going there in the future and you might encounter a brand new Battle Zone or Mystery Location.

Here is the Islands in question:

Nah, Nintendo likes adding those little details to their map alot. Take a look at the circles in this Hoenn map, for example.
