k can both Chaskis Sato and Keleri both cool down in this? Let's not turn this into a flame war as smoke is beginning to rise from this topic already. This is and will be the last religious thread for a long time as the mods have put a stop on religious topics... let's prove them wrong first of all by proving that we are mature enough to handle differences in religious beliefs.
Christian or not, just looking at morals alone we are suppose to respect one another. During times of debate and argument, we don't have to give a tone within our speeches that "the other side is arrogant while my side is the truth."
If you don't believe in the rapture, you can simply say "i don't believe in it..." You do not have to critize the other side while you're at it, especially calling a religion arrogant or "full of faults."
On the other hand, as a christian we are suppose to help others believe Jesus Christ as our loved savior in the mind, heart and spirit. We, along with the Holy Spirit, are suppose to help them discover their own paths, not to force our way through. Even if so much statistics are shown, they will not believe unless they enter a metacognitive moment of their own. Guide them certainly, but there is a limit where other human beings cannot do much more to help out sometimes. We don't need the "stuck-up" attitude of "oh my dear lord how can you say that! The BIBLE said that (blah blah blah)." According to testimonies and researches, the first thing a human being expects out of a christian is their "change in behavior and life through christ," especially the kindness and acceptance within a christian...
