    The "Set" Pokemon Challenge!

OK hey guys, Um. This is a really difficult challenge to explain so bear with me.

As you all know there is a challenge that lets you build a pokemon team based on a specific person or tv show ( Like Ash )

So I came up with ( actually my friend gave me the idea ) this idea of using a set of pokemon from a specific group. Like all the pokemon in the group have to be related to the Set in a way.

For example, I am doing the challenge based on Greek Mythology so I am using pokemon I think fitting for that set. E.G Butterfree is Athena because it is smart with extreme mental capacity.

You can use any set you want, the Greek Gods are just examples. So you could use Digimon, Roman Gods, The Dewey Decimal System ( Random I know )

    Rules:

    1. Must give ALL Pokemon Nicknames relating to the challenge
    2. Must have 3 or more Pokemon to consider it a set.
    3. HM Slaves - Max of Two, yes this means some of your pokemon will have to learn HMs. Big deal.
    4. One legendary only please, if you must. It ruins the experience as most are overpowered, especially cover legendaries.
    5. Enjoy yourself, please :)

*Ultimate Mode: If you want to do a run-through of every game starting with Kanto all the way to Unova with the same Set then feel free, However there are conditions:
    1. If you want to use the same pokemon go ahead.
    2. You can add a new pokemon per GEN switching out one of your old ones. This means YES, you can hack every one of your pokemon in but not at the start, Hack one in as a starter, the 2nd after the 1st gym, 3rd after 2nd gym, 4th after 4th gym ( Yes I skipped it ) 5th after 5th gym and 6th after the 6th gym. Get it?
    3. If you DO switch your pokemon then they cannot be the same "person" from that set.
E.G - If I chose to switch out Butterfree for Dustox in Hoenn, I could not call that Dustox Athena, I'd have to think of something new.

So far I leveled up my pokemon to level 16 expecting it to evolve so the gym challenge wouldn't be a challenge at all...he didn't but thanks to the fresh water i received at the beginning of the gym and a crit thanks to focus energy I defeated the villainous grass monkey in an intense battle! then I had to go visit the braniac lady with the gas problems :t092: err...wrong gas pokemon lol (dream mist sure but c'mon it could work!)
Then I walked up to the daycare and that was that, sorry but I've been busy with work and stuff, just one quick question you sayed I could hack a pokemon after beating the gym right? Most of my mons don't come up until passing half the game pretty much...

Are we allowed to hack in Pokemon...?

Yeah I think so but don't know where Opera is....From what I understood yes but only for a starter, then after the first gym, and after the second but that might be only if you're doing Ultimate, I wouldn't hack though without an explanation from Opera so right now I'm at a standstill, I'll PM him though to get his attention.

    yes glee ok

Are we allowed to hack in Pokemon...?

This means YES, you can hack every one of your pokemon in but not at the start, Hack one in as a starter, the 2nd after the 1st gym, 3rd after 2nd gym, 4th after 4th gym ( Yes I skipped it ) 5th after 5th gym and 6th after the 6th gym. Get it?

    Taken directly from the OP

Sorry guys, I've been offline. Exams and stuff.

You are allowed to hack in ONE pokemon as a starter, not others. But if you are doing Ultimate mode you can hack in a pokemon after a gym ( read the original post please ). If not, you can hack in One and One only.

it's times like this that i hate the ralts evolutionary line because of how rare ralts is
also I realised that I'm going to need to catch a zigzagoon for a hm slave (nickname will be slavinator)

So, after some last-minute training on Route 116, Meramon evolved and was my key to victory against Roxxane at the Rustboro City Gym. Next stop, Dewford Town!

I finally started the challenge, so I thought I may as well make an update:

    Update #1
    • Caught Aries (Mareep, lv6) at Route 32, and subsequently dumped my temporary starter, Cosmic (Totodile)
    • Aries evolved into Flaaffy after Bellsprout Tower.
    • Defeated Falkner with ease. It helps that I'm heavily over-leveled at this point.
    • Progressed through Route 32 without much trouble
    • Union Cave, however, was another story. Having to fight against a +6 defence Onix with only Tackle was fun. /sarcasm
    • Got rid of Team Rocket at Slowpoke Well.
    • Blitzed through Azalea Gym and beat Bugsy
    • Defeated rival Silver after his Bayleef kept stalling with Synthesis. Should've probably planned my starter choice ahead, but eh, whatever.

    Team:

    Aries lv24
    Thundershock, Thunder Wave, Tackle, Growl

    UPDATE TIME

After getting the Devon Goods back from the insipid Team Aqua Grunt, we headed back to just outside Petalburg City, to Mr. Briney's house, but not before we completely destroyed May in our second battle with her.
Mr. Briney took us to Dewford Town and we went straight to Granite Cave to deliver Mr. Stone's letter to his son Steven.
We then went to Dewford Gym and defeated all of the Gym Trainers. After that we went after Brawly.

After defeating Brawly at the Dewford Town Gym, we got Mr. Briney to take us to Slateport City where we defeated a couple more Aqua Grunts and gave Ralts a nickname as we forgot to when we caught her.
We then trained up a bit underneath Cycling Road and Angewomon finally evolved.

We then defeated May once again after several false starts and then headed up to Mauville City where we obtained HM06 Rock Smash, a Coin Case and a Mach Bike.

We tried going into the Gym but a little b@st@rd who our father seems to favour over his own flesh and blood stopped us and asked for a battle.

    (Yes Wally, yes you did)
After more training we finally challenged Wattson of the Mauville City Gym. We did keep losing because of being under-levelled but we finally managed to scrape a narrow victory against the Electric-type user.

Next time we will be heading west of Mauville to Verdanturf Town and possibly back to Rustboro City.
