the shows best trainer?

What about Wallace? he is the champion too could she beat him?
 
Seeing that he's shown as more of Contest Master than a Champion, I would say yes. Cynthia is a trainer specifically while Wallace is more of an expert for contests.
 
Lets look at this way.

Cynthia beats Paul's team that was more experience than Ash's team.
Paul can beat Ash with his "Trained" team
Harrison Narrowly beat Ash. Causing his Blaziken to be out of action the next battle because of the beating it recieve form Charizard.
Ash used different team so its hard to tell. Right now, Pual can beat Ash, because Ash doesn't have his reserves.
Gary able to beat Ash 2 times? Ash finally beats him during Johto league without his uberchu.
Ritchie won cheapily because Charizard decided to sleep.
Tyson Won the hoenn League, Ash almost beats him.


Note: We all know in the start of Sinnoh, that the writers made the show realistic by downgrading uberchu to pikachu. Making it look like that he's not the only one the travel many regions.

So whose the strongest? Cynthia. She Womanhandle paul's team with uberchomp. And we know that Paul's team is the one he was training in other regions.
 
I am not sure using the Ash to Paul to rate Harrison is fair because there is no way to tell unless harrison reappears sometime this season with his new pokemon or stronger old pokemon

Reason: He has some really tough pokemon in the anime!
Convince: If you see that Nidoking, that Blastoise or the Elektrive, there all well trained and they look strong..
I think that's it :)

I just put up the trainers that beat Ash on the league/ and rivals
 
actually his blaziken cheated against charizard. early in the battle blaziken jumped and then somehow in air dodged charziards dragon rage and attack charizard in air...
even tho he can jump that high , its impossible to just avoid an attack like blaziken did since he cant fly in mid air.
therefore ash should've won that match.
 
any trainer that has one a championship because well the WON it

HMMMMMM

Well, Paul has good pokemon, Harrison has good pokemon, Tyson has good pokemon, gary has good pokemon and cynthia has her pwning garchomp. If you think about it, ash could easily beat paul with his charizard, sceptile, snorlax etc
