    Yo can I join? I've been skating for four years, but I lost my board three years ago and I just got a new maple one today. Yeah I know I might've lost my cool tricks and stuff over the years but meh I'll catch up soon.

    I'll start a topic: Do you wear any protective gear while skating? If so, what?

    For me, over all these years, I haven't worn my protective gear. I know people always say that it's very ideal to wear them, but for me it just limits my tricks. My first skateboard came with protective gear (helmet, kneepads, elbow pads and that sort of crap) and the first time I took a skate around I didn't feel very "skateboardey" so I tried taking them off and boy was I better than ever!

    EDIT: Oh yeah, my skateboarding hero ain't Tony Hawk, it's Bart from The Simpsons XD
