I wrote the first two chapters a LONG time ago in a different forum, but I decided to share it with you.
Sorry, Chapter One.1 is here for you to see and review, but this is the bad copy. Read Chapter One.2 to see the fully-edited one:
Chapter One:
Jess Short, a young thirteen-year old was sitting in her room, sketching out a picture of one of the starter Pokemon that Professor Elm was giving to rookie trainers the next day. This specific Pokemon was one that Jess wanted to get. It was the Cyndaquil. It was the Fire Mouse Pokemon and it had a scorching flame on it's back. It's eyes were like slits and it's colors were creamy tan and greenish-blue.
"I can't wait to get Cyndaquil!" Jess said. "I will name it Charcoal if I get him." Jess rested her head on her pillow and closed her eyes. She was incredibly tired and all she wanted was it to be tomorrow.
~~
The next day, Jess woke up around seven in the morning. She got dressed quickly and grabbed her bag full of Pokemon supplies. The day before she had gone to Cherrygrove City to get the supplies she needed. Her parents had given her $200 for shopping and has around $65 left. She had gotten a few Revives, twenty empty Pokeballs, eight Potions, Antidotes, Paralyze Heals, and other stat problem revivers.
Jess brushed her boy-like hair neatly for the meeting with Professor Elm and her soon to be Cyndaquil, or should I say Charcoal. As she opened her bedroom door and ran out, she almost collided with her brother.
"Dan, what are you doing up so early?" Jess asked. Then she remembered. "Oh yeah! You get your beginning Pokemon today too." Dan smirked.
"I already got it!" he said greedily.
"What?" Jess asked. "You mean you got it before me?! Please tell me you didn't get the Cyndaquil!" Jess pleaded. Dan laughed.
"Sorry Jess. I always get the best starter!" Dan held up a red and white Pokeball. "Like you I already stocked up on all the items at Cherrygrove, but I did that this morning after I got MY starter." Dan threw the Pokeball into the air. It opened and a light poured out, forming a shape of a Pokemon. "Jess, meet MY Cyndaquil!" When the light cleared a creamish Pokemon with a blue-green stripe on it's back appeared. It's eyes seemed closed and it had a slit on it's back that emerged into a flame.
"A Cyndaquil?!" Jess shouted. "You got MY Cyndaquil!" Dan smirked and laughed.
"Yes I did! Cyndaquil is now my Pokemon." Dan snapped. "And that means you can't have one!" Dan laughed hysterically. Jess looked angry, like she was about to explode. Jess finally took a deep breath.
"No matter Dan." Jess sighed. "I WILL get a Cyndaquil one day but it probably won't be today." Dan shrugged like he didn't care.
"When you do, I'll be waiting because me and Cyndaquil are taking the Johto Elite Four Challenge. I plan on winning it with any new and powerful Pokemon I come across, and if I battle you in the end, I will win!" Jess started to look angry again and she stormed out into the new morning.
~~
When Jess made it to Professor Elm's lab the sun was already high in the sky. Jess wondered if the other two starters were taken while she had the stupid conversation with her eleven-year old brother.
Jess knocked on the door. A few moments later, a large fellow with brown hair, glasses, and a lab coat opened the door.
"Oh… hello. Are you… Jess?" he staggered. Jess nodded. "Well… um… come with me." he instructed. The fellow led them into a large room with boxes and machines everywhere. The man turned around.
"I am Professor Elm… and… um… there isn't an easy way to say this Jess, but the Chikorita and Totodile were taken a few hours ago." the Professor said. Jess stared wide eyed at him. "But… I do have one more Pokemon." Professor Elm led them to a large table where a Pokeball lay.
"But Jess, I must warn you. This Pokemon is incredible unstable. Who knows if it'll obey you." The Professor told Jess.
"I don't care. All I wanted today was a partner and if this Pokemon is going to be my partner, I don't care one single bit. Even if it doesn't obey me, I will still show it care and respect." said Jess. Suddenly, the Pokeball obeyed automatically and light poured onto the table. When the light cleared, a small dark blue Pokemon with white claws and a long left ear appeared.
"Snea snea!" it said jumped onto Jess's shoulder.
"Well look at that!" the Professor remarked. "It seems that this Pokemon, Sneasel, heard your speech and now wants to be your new partner."
"A Sneasel aye?" Jess said. "Isn't a Sneasel an Ice and Dark Type?" The Professor nodded. "Well anyway, he is very cute." The Sneasel blushed and nudged Jess's chest.
"Hey! Sneasel, would you mind if I gave you a nickname?" Sneasel shook its head, getting comfortable in Jess's arms. "Alright, how about Darray?" Sneasel looked at Jess, clapping it's paws together in amusement.
"Snea snea Sneasel!" Sneasel said.
"Alright… Darray, ready for our adventure?" Jess asked. Darray jumped out of Jess's hands and started to dance on the table.
"Wow! Looks like your Sneasel looks really happy to be going on this adventure with you." Professor Elm said. "But before you go, I have something to give you." Professor Elm headed to a small table, grabbed something, and headed back to Jess and Darray.
"Here Jess." said Professor Elm handing Jess a small red devise. "This is a Pokedex. It automatically records data you find on Pokemon."
"Thanks Professor." said Jess. Darray got down from the table and climbed onto Jess's shoulder.
"Darray, don't you want to be in your Pokeball?" Jess asked Darray confused. Darray shook its head. "Okay then Darray, you can stay on my shoulder." Jess walked to the table where Darray's Pokeball was. Jess took it and attached it to her belt. "Thank you again Professor Elm for this beginning. This will start my entire journey through all the regions in the world! Right Darray?"
"Snea!" agreed Darray.
~~
It was around 2:30 PM when Jess and Darray were traveling on Route 29, just outside of Cherrygrove City. Darray was sitting on Jess's shoulder, watching all that was going on around him. Suddenly a boy jumped out of the grass.
"Hey you!" he shouted. "You're a Pokemon trainer right?" Jess started to speak but the boy interrupted him.
"Of course you are!" he snapped. He took out a Pokeball. "Then you can't say no to my challenge! Go Charmeleon!" The boy tossed the Pokeball into the air. It opened and light poured out. When the light cleared, a large lizard-like Pokemon appeared. It was crimson red and had a big flame on the tip of it's tail.
"Char!" it snarled. Jess stared wide eyed to it. She reached into her pocket and took out her Pokedex.
"What is that?" Jess asked the Pokedex. The light on the Pokedex lit up.
"Charmeleon," the Pokedex began. "Charmeleon mercilessly destroys its foes using its sharp claws. If it encounters a strong foe, it turns aggressive. In this excited state, the flame at the tip of it's tail flares with a bluish white color." The Pokedex's light turned off.
"Okay then," Jess said putting away the Pokedex. "Go Darray!" Darray jumped off Jess's and faced the Charmeleon.
"A Sneasel?!" the boy laughed. "Very funny! Go Charmeleon, use Fire Spin!" The Charmeleon opened its mouth and released a spiraling blast of fire.
"Quickly Darray, dodge it!" Jess commanded. Darray jumped into the sky, barely missing the Charmeleon's blast of fire. The boy laughed.
"You know that Sneasels are weaklings right?" the boy said. Darray landed and looked angrily at the boy.
"What did you say?!" Jess snapped.
"Sneasels are weaklings." the boy repeated. "You know nothing of how weak they are. You must be a rookie." The boy snickered. "You are nothing more than a loser and your Sneasel too!" Darray now wanted to blow and slash the boy more than his Charmeleon. The boy laughed.
"It looks like your Sneasel is going to blow a gasket." the boy took in a deep breath. "Now Charmeleon, Fire Blast!" The Charmeleon breathed in and a ball of fire stood at its mouth. The ball grew bigger and bigger until it was sent flying into Darray's direction.
"Darray, dodge it!" Jess commanded. Darray jumped but it was no avail. The Fire Blast hit Darray and sent him flying to Jess's feet. It tried to get up to fight, but it fell. Darray fainted.
"Ha, didn't I tell you that Sneasels are weak?" the boy snickered. "But don't worry, you can revive it at the Pokemon Center in Cherrygrove City." The boy took out a Pokeball and held it up to his Charmeleon. A pink beam of light struck Charmeleon. It engulfed it and transported it into the Pokeball. The boy turned around and walked away.
"Darray." Jess said lifting up her injured Sneasel. "We must get to Cherrygrove as fast as we can." Darray gave a weak "Snea."
~~
Jess reached Cherrygrove City not long after. She rushed into the Pokemon Center, holding injured Darray.
"Nurse Joy, can you please help my Sneasel?" Jess asked. Nurse Joy looked at Darray.
"Oh my!" Nurse Joy. "What happened?!"
"This arrogant boy and his Charmeleon hurt my Sneasel real bad. He also insulted my Sneasel. Can you please help it?" Jess said.
"Of course!" Nurse Joy took Darray from Jess and headed into the medical office. A Chansey followed her. Jess sat down on a sofa. She watched as many people entered the Pokemon Center with their Pokemon looking healthy. Jess sighed. They must be pretty good trainers. Suddenly, the boy from before entered, looking pretty confident.
"Hey you!" Jess got up and stormed over to the boy. "You should take what you said about Sneasels back!" Jess snapped.
"Why should I?" the boy snickered. "I have an idea. If we battle again and I lose, I will, but if I win, then I won't."
"Fine! You have yourself a deal, but you must use a different Pokemon this time." Jess said. " Charmeleon is to much for my Sneasel."
"Fine. It'll also be to hard to beat it now." the boy said. He took out a Pokeball and threw it into the air. "Because it evolved into a Charizard not to long ago." When the light cleared, a large dragon-like Pokemon appeared. Jess took out her Pokedex.
"Charizard," the Pokedex began. "Charizard flies around the skies in search for powerful opponents. It breathes fire of such great heat that it can melt anything. However, it never turns it's fiery breath on an opponent weaker than itself." Jess put away her Pokedex.
"So… you impressed?" the boy snickered.
"Somewhat." Jess said. "So, what Pokemon are you using for the battle?" The boy laughed.
"You'll see." he replied.
~~
After getting Darray back from Nurse Joy, Jess set out to Route 30, where the boy said to meet him.
"Man, where are you?" Jess said paranoid. Jess wanted to get to Violet City as fast she could after the battle.
"Take it easy girl!" said the boy emerging from behind some trees. "I was busy catching some Pokemon." He held up three Pokeballs.
"These are too weak to battle." He placed them in his backpack and took a Pokeball off of his belt. "Now, ready for the battle? Go Umbreon!" The boy threw the Pokeball. It opened and light poured out of it. When the light cleared, a small black cat-like Pokemon appeared. It had red eyes and neon yellow stripes around it's body.
"Bre!" it growled menacingly.
"Alright Darray, go!" Jess said. Darray jumped off her shoulder and faced the Umbreon.
"Umbreon, Faint Attack!" shouted the boy. The Umbreon jumped into the air and sent a ball of darkness speeding straight for Darray.
"Dodge it!" Jess commanded. Darray jumped into the air. "Now Shadow Ball!" Darray put its hands together and a dark ball began to summon up. It grew bigger and bigger until it was bigger than Darray. Darray pushed it away from itself and it was sent flying toward the opponent's Umbreon.
"Umbreon dodge it!" the boy said. The Umbreon jumped but it was no avail. The ball engulfed the Umbreon. Suddenly there was a huge explosion and the Umbreon was knocked out quickly. It fell at the boy's feet, it fainted. "No!"
"Good job Darray!" Jess said scooped Darray up in her arms.
"Snea!" Darray said happily. The boy walked up to them.
"Well, it looks like I owe you guys an apology. I'm sorry." the boy said.
"I accept it, but will Darray?" Jess said.
"Do you accept my apology Darray? I was extremely selfish and I hope you can forgive me. I never figured out strong a Sneasel could be. I'm sorry." the boy said. Darray smiled and jumped onto his shoulder.
"Sneasel, Sneasel!" Darray replied.
"Well I better be on my way." the boy said. "Oh, and my name is Matt. I should train the Pokemon I caught here. See you someday." Darray jumped onto Jess's shoulder as Anthony turned around and walked away.
"So Darray, are you ready to go to Violet City now?" Jess asked.
"Snea!" Darray agreed.
Here's Chapter One.2 for you to view...please review:
Chapter One:
Jess Short, a fourteen year old girl, her birthday only a few days ago, was ready for her biggest adventure yet. Jess was reading a book on a Pokemon she was planning on getting from the professor, Professor Elm.
Jess sighed, but looked at her desk before grabbing her backpack. Her artwork hung there, pictures and pictures of Pokemon, graphic designed, sketched, or color penciled. Jess smiled. She would miss this, really miss it.
Jess turned around and tossed her backpack onto her back, tossing it to make it comfortable. Jess hurried to the door, suddenly colliding into her younger, ignorant brother, Daniel. Jess staggered background and grabbed the wall before she fell.
"Gosh, nerd, what's with you? To excited to find out Professor Elm has no more Pokemon yet, right?" Matthew laughed. Jess stared at Matthew angrily.
"What?" she snapped angrily. Matthew lifted his head and snickered. He took out his Pokeball.
"This is the Pokemon I got." Matthew tossed the Pokeball into the air. It opened, and a soft beam of light flowed into the shape of a Pokemon. When it cleared, a small Pokemon stood there, on four little stubs. Its eyes were slits on it's face and it had little nostrils. Small files of smoke filed from them. It was a cream color, and its forehead to it's tail was blue-green, aqua blue, the color of a dark sea. A slit on its back emerged into a large yellowish-orange flame.
"A Cyndaquil? No! I wanted that one!" Jess shouted angrily, clutching her hands into fists, them popping with veins.
"Quil!" it squeaked. Matthew placed his hands on his hips and looked at Jess, trying to get her angry, and it was working.
"Alright Jess," Matthew lifted his right hand into the air. "Listen up and listen well. I'm taking the Pokemon Elite Four Challenge. Are you?" Jess was about to speak when Matthew butted in.
"Of course you aren't! You have no Pokemon!" Matthew laughed. His Cyndaquil squeaked lightly, yawning. Matthew looked at his Cyndaquil. "This is getting boring mocking you. Let's go Cyndaquil." Cyndaquil turned around and Matthew pointed it's Pokeball at it. A pink light shot from the small circle on the ball. It tagged Cyndaquil and engulfed it. The light was then transported back into the Pokeball. Matthew looked at Jess and snickered.
"If you ever get any Pokemon, you still won't be able to defeat me." Danny headed to the door, laughing at the dishonorment he gave Jess. He opened the door and disappeared outside, still laughing.
Jess sat down and thought about what Matthew said. "You have no Pokemon!" It still rang in her head. Jess lowered her eyebrows and her mouth turned into a scowl.
"I'll show him!" Jess hissed. She jumped off the couch and grabbed her bag. She checked the bag for Pokeballs. She smiled. Twenty small Pokeballs. Enough of what she needed. Jess ran for the door, grabbed the handle, and tore the door open. Jess raced out.
"Bye Mom, bye Dad!" Jess shouted when she passed her parents.
"Jess, wait!" Jess turned around and saw her mother who was feeding her Rock Pokemon.
"What?" Jess asked.
"Professor Elm called. He wanted you to come by to his lab. He had something for you."
"Really?" Jess's mom nodded. "Cool! I'll go there ASAP!" Jess shot off to Professor Elm's lab.
Cool. Why does Professor Elm need me? Jess asked herself in thought. When Jess got to the lab, a few people were waiting outside, police men and women. Jess stopped next to Officer Jenny.
"Officer Jenny, what's going on?" Jess asked. Officer Jenny looked at Jess.
"Well, there's a culprit in the lab, and he might be hurting anyone inside it." Officer Jenny explained.
"What?" Jess gasped. "I was supposed to get my first Pokemon today!"
"You were?" Jess nodded. Without thinking, Jess ran forward, into the lab.
"Young lady, wait! You're not supposed to go in there!" Officer Jenny called. She paused and looked at the other officers. "Go get her out of there!"
Jess looked around. The lab was empty.
"What were they talking about? No body is in here?" Just as Jess said this, she was knocked to the ground. Jess groaned and lifted her head to see what pushed her. A black crow-like bird flew in the air, facing her. It had glowing red eyes and a gray beak, and black claws. It had a hat-type of forehead, and it squawked "Murkrow!"
"Oh no! A Murkrow!" Jess gasped.
"Murkrow!" it squawked. It flew up and looped at Jess. Jess just stood there, afraid.
"Sneasel!" Jess staggered backwards when a swift, dark-blue Pokemon struck the Murkrow. The Murkrow fell to the ground, and it's body was covered in severe scratches. Jess looked at the dark-blue Pokemon that protected her. It's right ear was a long pink feather, and it's other ear was smaller and its fur color. Its claws were as white as snow as well.
The Pokemon turned around, and Jess staggered and thought the Pokemon might hurt her. It smiled.
"Sneasel, snea." it said. Jess smiled.
"A Sneasel!" Jess said excitedly.
"Yes a Sneasel, and it's going to be mine!" Jess turned around quickly and saw a man in black clothing standing there. A Pokemon, black as coal with shapes all over its body stood next to him. An Umbreon. "Back off girly, that Sneasel belongs to me now." The man hissed.
"No!" Jess grabbed the Sneasel and ran out of the lab.
"Come back here you little brat!" snapped the man. It's Umbreon ran after Jess, running behind the heels of her feet. Jess fell over and screamed. The Sneasel fell out of her hands.
"Sneasel." Jess yelled. The Sneasel looked at Jess, and at the open gate. It's vision kept switching between Jess and the gate.
"Snea, Sneasel, snea-" it asked itself. The man emerged behind Jess, his Umbreon standing on Jess.
"Well well, looks like this little girly just can't run." The man snickered.
"Sneasel, run!" Jess shouted.
"Oh, but you're not going to get away." The man said. Sneasel watched as the man grabbed Jess by the hair and pulled her head up. Sneasel's feeling of escaping, turned into anger. He lunged at the man, stretched out his white claws, and slashed the man's face.
"Argh!" The man roared as he flew backwards. His Umbreon watched and snarled at the Sneasel as it landing in front of Jess. The Umbreon jumped at Sneasel, but Sneasel slashed it viciously. The Umbreon landed next to it's owner. It shook off the damage Sneasel inflicted, but wasn't ready to battle when Sneasel was.
Sneasel breathed in and breathed out, causing a pool of icy wind speeding toward the Umbreon's way. It struck the two and froze their legs in a block of ice. The two squirmed, but it was no avail.
Sneasel turned to Jess and helped her up. Sneasel jumped into Jess's arms.
"Wow, Sneasel… Do you-" Jess thought. "Do you want to join my team?" Sneasel looked at Jess, his eyes sparkling.
"Sneasel, snea!" it said happily.
"Alright, I'll call you Darray." Jess said happily. Sneasel snuggled in Jess's chest.

Chapter Two:
It was sunset when Jess and Darray reached Violet City.
"Wow, Darray look at that!" Jess remarked.
"Snea." Darray said.
"Rai!" Jess turned around and she suddenly collided into a large orange Pokemon.
"What the?!" Jess said. Jess got up and the Pokemon looked around. It suddenly ran behind Jess's knees as if it was hiding from something. Just then, a man came into the clearing. He wore all black, had a black hat, and had a dark-like Pokeball in his hand. He looked over into Jess's direction.
"Raichu!" the man snapped. His voice made Jess and Darray shiver. Something was suspicious about him. "Give me Raichu now!" He sounded like a vicious Houndoom. Jess looked at the Raichu who looked very upset and didn't want to go with him.
"No, I'm not giving this Raichu to you!" Jess said. The man laughed.
"Is that your answer?!" the man snapped. "Well, I'll let my Pokemon get that Raichu!" The man tossed two Darkballs into the air. They opened and black light poured out into the shape of two Pokemon. When the black light cleared, a black bird-like crow with a hat appeared. The other Pokemon was a large bird seemed to be made of steel. It had crimson red feathers and yellow eyes.
"Get that Raichu!" snapped the man. The two Pokemon flew up into the air and flew for Jess, Darray, and the Raichu.
"Run!" Jess scooped up the Raichu and Darray jumped up on her shoulder. Jess turned around and started to run into Violet City, trying to lose the two vicious birds. Jess turned a corner and bumped into someone. She held the Raichu firmly and Darray dug his nails into Jess's shoulder. Jess seized the pain as she saw who shoe hit. It was her younger brother, Dan.
"Dan!" Jess said. "Am I glad to see you!" Dan smirked.
"Of course you are!" Dan snapped. Suddenly, the two birds appeared and looked at the Raichu in Jess's hands.
"Dan, please help!" Jess said.
"Okay fine." said Dan, taking out a Pokeball. "Go Quilava." The ball opened and white light poured out into the shape of a Pokemon. When the light cleared, a large Pokemon that looked like a Cyndaquil appeared.
"What the?!" Jess took out her Pokedex.
"Quilava," the Pokedex began. "Quilava keeps it's foes at bay with the intensity of it's flames and gusts of superheated air. This Pokemon applies it's outstanding nimbleness to dodge attacks even while scorching enemies with it's flames."
"Wow!" Jess said.
"Alright Quilava, use Flame Wheel!" Dan commanded. The Quilava's flames burned over it's body. It ran toward the tow bird Pokemon and jumped. It started to spin in a circle and spun faster and faster with every moment. The two birds flew up, and Quilava jumped up, scorching the steel bird. It landed on the land, fainted.
"Quilava, stand your ground!" Dan commanded. Quilava jumped at Dan's feet. "Jess, you can take care of that one now."
"Alright Darray, go and use Icy Wind!" Jess said. Darray jumped off Jess's shoulder and breathed in, then it's icy breath sped toward the black crow-bird. It struck the bid on contact. The bird fell to the ground.
"No!" Dan and Jess saw the black-hooded man run to it's two Pokemon. "You will pay!"
"Stop right there!" said a voice. The man jumped up and tried to run, but it was no avail. A large dog-like Pokemon jumped on the man, causing him to stumble forward. Jess, Dan, Darray, and Quilava ran to the man.
"That's a Growlithe." Dan said excited. "I've always wanted one!"
"Sorry son!" Dan and Jess turned around to see Violet City's police commander, Officer Jenny running toward them. "This Growlithe belongs to the police force of Violet City. Thank you for helping me capture this culprit."
"Wait, a culprit? What did he do?" Jess asked. Jess just remembered that she had Raichu in her hands. She showed Officer Jenny. "This man was after this Raichu." The Raichu seemed scared of Officer Jenny and started to squirm in Jess's hands. Jess dropped it and it ran behind Jess's legs.
"Well look at that! That Raichu seemed to have grown a liking to you young lady!" Officer Jenny got the man from under the Growlithe and hand cuffed him. "If this man hasn't caught it yet, why don't you keep it. Come on juniors!" A few other police officers and Pokemon came to Officer Jenny. She handed the man to another officer.
"Bring this man to the jail and chain up his Pokemon. Bring them to the Pokemon Center and put them in Pokemon Therapy."
"Pokemon Therapy?" the officer asked.
"Put it in chains." Officer Jenny responded. "Then tell Nurse Joy that she has a Murkrow and a Skarmory to de-evil." Officer Jenny faced Dan and Jess. "You two have done well. We might as well make you both official junior police officers. Oh, and young lady, take care of that new Raichu of yours."
"Raichu!" Raichu said.
~~
After capturing Raichu officially, and visiting the Pokemon Center, Jess said goodbye to Dan who was already heading to Azalea Town.
"Okay, are you ready Sparky and Darray?" asked Jess. Her Raichu and Sneasel nodded. Since capturing Raichu, Jess nicknamed it Sparky. "Alrighty then, let's head to the Violet City gym and battle Falkner."
"Chu!" Sparky said.
"Snea!" Darray added.
Jess headed to the gym, which stood in the center of Violet City. Jess entered and was welcomed by a tall boy with blue hair and a Hoot-Hoot on his shoulder.
"Cool." Jess took out her Pokedex.
"Hoot-hoot," the Pokedex began. "Hoot-Hoot has an internal organ that senses the earth's rotation. Using this special organ, this Pokemon becomes hooting at precisely the same time every day." Jess put her Pokedex away.
"That's a cool bird Pokemon." Jess commented.
"Thank you." the boy said bowing slightly. "I am Falkner. You came here to battle, right?"
"Yes sir."
"Well alright, follow me. I'll lead you to the battle field." Jess followed Falkner to a large battle field. The ceiling was open like a skylight. Jess assumed it was made for Falkner's flying Pokemon. Jess took the visiting side of the battle field and Falkner took the other side. Suddenly, the floor began to rise. Small platforms moved higher into the air. The platforms of Jess and Falkner began to rise also. They stopped to the height of the platforms.
"Alright Jess, you choose your Pokemon." said Falkner.
"Snea!" Darray snarled.
"Sorry Darray, I'm going to let Sparky do his first battle now, okay?" Jess asked. Darray settled down. Jess took out a Pokeball. "Okay Sparky, go!" Jess threw the Pokeball into the air. It opened and light poured out, forming the shape of a Raichu. When the light cleared Sparky stood there.
"Rai!" Sparky happily said.
"A Raichu. Wow Jess, you must know your strength and weaknesses of Pokemon." Falkner took out a Pokeball. "I have no choice but to go with this Pokemon. Go!" The Pokeball opened and light poured out into the shape of a Pokemon. When the light cleared, a flying Pokemon with pink-like hair appeared.
"What is that?" Jess took out her Pokedex.
"Pidgeotto," the Pokedex began. "Pidgeotto claims a large area as it's own territory. This Pokemon flies around, protecting it's living space. If it's territory is violated, it takes no mercy to punish the foe with it's sharp claws."
"Cool," Jess said, sighing.
"Alright Pidgeotto, knock that Raichu off the platform!" commanded Falkner. The Pidgeotto flew straight for Sparky.
"Sparky, dodge it and use Thundershock!" Jess commanded. Sparky jumped into the air, dodging Falkner's Pidgeotto. Sparky's cheeks started to spark. His body was soon sparking with electricity. The electricity suddenly filtered from Sparky and struck Falkner's Pidgeotto. The Pidgeotto was sparking with electricity. It fell from the sky and fell to the ground. It fainted.
"Great job Sparky!" Jess shouted.
"Raichu!" Sparky said. He bounced from each platform until he met up with Jess.
"Nice job Jess." Falkner said. The platforms lowered and Falkner walked over to Jess. "Here." Falkner showed Jess the Zephyr Badge. "You deserve this." Falkner placed the badge into Jess's hand.
"Thank you Falkner." Jess said.
"Snea." "Rai." Darray and Sparky said together.
