Glad you asked. Sally is a Ground Squirrel, . She is a character in the Sonic SatAM(Saturday Morning-ABC) series cartoon that aired in 1993. The Sonic Archie comics use her in it as well(the comics began in 93 too). Her full name and title is: Princess Sally Alicia Acorn. Her father is the king of the planet Mobius.
Even though she is a princess, she acts less spoiled considering her wanting to rid the world of Robotnik. She is very smart(good with computers) and is also athletic(karate). Her and Sonic are about the same age.
In both the comics and the cartoon, her and Sonic have many moments showing the love they share. One of those moments happens to be in my sig. The final episode of the SatAM cartoon.
Course the Sonic X series looks good, but since that one is originally from Japan and SatAM is from America, they are completely different Sonic series.
SatAM was the series with the darkest plots, heavy romance, and tons of character development out of the 3 made in America(the other 2 were: The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog-AoStH, and Sonic Underground).
The Archie Comics are what influenced some of the cartoon and in a way, it helped continue the adventures of the SatAM crew, while adding more Sega characters.
Its taking forever for DIC to release the rest of the DVDs for the SatAM series(3rd Party rights is an issue). Only 1 DVD with 5 episodes has been released so far. Its a 26 episode series.

I can't believe it. I have missed EVERY Sonic X episode. EVERY ONE. And I call myself a fan...
 
Ive missed all Sonic X episodes too. They just have to show it when I tape Pokemon! :disappoin
I can still get it on DVD if they release it here.
Course, Im wanting SatAM Sonic DVDs more :cool:
 
well...im just lucky that they show fxbx on sat. and KWB on sun. here...
