"Well, looks like we got somewhere to go now," I stated, seeing that Zaiku or Haiku person run. I didn't quite get it the first time it was mentioned, but I knew I was somewhere close. "Wait a minute, did he just say run?" I questioned.

I thought this all through very fast in my mind, then turned to Cain to ask a certain question that I knew would probably be very, VERY, helpful. "Cain, how fast did you get to Viridian from Pallet?" Running could really destroy us in the inside. It could get very tiring, and I wasn't up for a sprint to Pallet. Either way, I didn't plan on running at all. I don't think I could handle such a work-out, for some reason.

"It better not be that far; I've never really traveled to Pallet much. If I had, I probably would've met you a lot sooner than these past days."

Kaki woke up laying on the ground. She was flat on her back, and she had no idea where she was. But, Kaki felt extremely hot, and her throat felt like it was on fire. It was burning so much she was afraid to cough. She told herself it was just a sore throat and that she was sick with a fever. And so, she just lie there.

Kaki finally rolled over in the grass, finding that the ground felt about the same temperature as the ground she had been lying on for how ever long she had been out. "Hm," She hummed, then began wondering why she had a fever and a sore throat, but wasn't in any pain or discomfort. Kaki sighed and slowly got onto her feet.

She glanced around, taking in this place around her, realizing she had been here before, somehow. Kaki breathed slowly and silently, looking around for something to tell her where she was. Finally, she located a sign, reading the arrows pointing in opposite directions. To her left, Pallet Town, and to her right, Viridian. How'd she end up in Route 1?

There was a sudden tickle between Kaki's fingers, and she instantly looked down at her hand, curled into a loose fist, something in her hand. She opened her palm to see what she was holding, and found that she was holding a gold, green, and red feather. It wasn't very large, but bright enough to be quite noticeable in it's vivid colors. She hadn't ever seen a Pokemon with such a feather, so she thought it as special.

Kaki finally ended up placing the feather carefully into her pocket, and then sighed, standing there in the middle of Route 1, still wondering how she managed to arrive here, why she had the symptoms of being sick, but didn't feel that way, where that feather she had appeared out of, and most importantly, where her Pokemon had disappeared to.

Ruya raised her eyebrows as Zaiku sprinted off in the direction of Pallet. "He was a trainer, wasn't he?" she asked no one in particular. "Doesn't he know that you can't just sprint from town to town." She remembered the map AJ had had out earlier. "Can we really make it in four hours? It's a long way."

There really didn't seem like any chance of changing plans though. Zaiku had suddenly decided to take charge and sold his soul to some evil girl in order to get them a ride to Vermillion. If they made it in time, which she doubted, then they'd be fine, but, if what she thought was true and the road to Pallet was much longer than Zaiku thought, then they'd have an even longer journey ahead of them. They'd have to double back all the way to Viridian then start towards Vermillion again.

"I hope Zaiku knows what he's doing," she said with a sigh, "otherwise he'll have to give the girl a kiss and still not have a way to Vermillion."

"It didnt take me a long time to get to Pallet town. Only a few hours. But I rested alot though. If we hurry we probably can make it".

Cain tipped his hat and took it off. Then he put it in his backpack. He did not want to lose it.

"Tom, we have to leave very soon. If we dont we wont make it to the ship and we wont be able to find Travis's wing.

Well, I guess this is how we go. "Aright, I guess we should go then," I said, swinging my bag behind me. Then it hit me; there were six of us. Weren't there… "Hey, where's Izzy?" Yes, that girl, the one I invited. Was she even coming? I wasn't so sure. If she was, she was a little late then. But maybe we should wait?

"I think we should wait for her," I said. Wait a minute, was I trying to stall? Why? That wasn't very like me. Well, it was a good reason anyways, but still. I didn't want to stay here, in Viridian. I wanted an adventure.

Ruya frowned, looking around at the small group. I could have sworn she was here, she thought. Yeah, there she is, she nodded to herself in confirmation then turned to Tom.

"Izzy's here, we're fine. And we really should get going. I want to make it to Pallet as soon as possible." She stretched both arms over her head then gestured with her head after Zaiku then began walking after him. No way I'm running. It feels like my brain is about to fall out of my head enough already.

OOC: Again, it's time. Say what you need, then we'll jump this two hours forward, halfway to Pallet. There, we'll most likely meet Hazel. >_>

--

Well, that confirmed it. So we were seven. There was nothing else I could really say, and I really didn't want to say anything. Ruya had begun walking, and I just stood there, still thinking. What I was thinking about was just random things that popped into my mind, unrelated to what I was originally talking about. Once I realized this, I began to wonder why.

"Yeah, alright, we should go," I said, before I could come up with something that would probably change my mind. "Well, I guess we're all ready; let's go." I walked too, not wanting to run. I didn't dislike running…I just thought I might trip or something. And I didn't know why; I knew Viridian like the back of my hand. Shaking this all away, I walked onward.

The clouds were still there when he started walking. Cain was flipping through his contacts in his pokenav. Occasionaly calling Professer Oak and having a busy signal. Hmm, he must be more busy then I thought

Then Cain started walking alongside Tom. Then he started asking Tom

"Tom, what do you plan to do after Vermilian?"

OOC: Wow, that was quick. Two hours later already. XD So, now we're in the middle from Viridian to Pallet everyone.

Another question I didn't have the answer to. Though, this question was something I really had to think about; what was I going to do? I was probably going to go back to Viridian and spend the rest of my life without Pokémon there. That would really suck.

"I don't really know…I guess I'll…do nothing, I don't really know," I said. I really had to think about this question. It was just burning right into my mind. Maybe if I got an answer from someone else, then that could help me find something to do afterwards. So I decided to ask. "What are you going to do? You were going to start your journey, but it was rudely stopped. I'd find that kind of bothersome. Are you still going to go on a journey, or something?"

"Well I was planning on being in Saffron city by now. But at least I have something better to do then see trainers that are groveling because of their pokemon. Lets hope these black market types will give us their rainbow wing."

Cain then went over to Travis

"So Travis your going to Ecruteak after we get the rainbow wing. What are you going to do over there?"

I had been slightly quiet the whole time as they talked about 'Adult matters' and I just peddaled along side them and relaxed. I was daydreaming about the exciting world of Leon Kennady in Resident evil 4, no... no... no, AJ Kinova in Resident Evil 4! I saw myself with the handgun pointing at Dr. Salvador and mowing him down before he decapitated me with his bloody chainsaw. Why does he wear that bag on his head? I asked myself pulling the trigger repeatily on the farm boy Maniac. I was now running down to the lake and watching the giant Lago' Plago soar across the river eating anything in it's path, I smiled as I got in the boat and harpooned it down and then... I'm with El' Gigante the giant, that wolf is helping me as I sent my shotgun rounds into it's back exposing the parasite and jumping to slice it off. I kept smiling while mindlessly riding that bike not even noticing myself hitting a rock and flying off, " Oops.." I mumbled rubbing my head.

Kaki hadn't the faintest idea of where to move next, so she sat down on the grass, under the shade of a tree and carefully removed the beautiful feather she found from her pocket. After staring at it for a few moments, she realized that the feather meant something dear to her, like it was a gift from the heavens and she should be truely honored to have it.

So, Kaki spent the next two hours fixing the feather into a necklace since she was wearing one that hadn't anything on it. She smiled at her work, finding she liked it very much. "Something this special deserves to be close to my heart..." She said to herself, placing the feather under her shirt to rest in the center of her chest.

Kaki sighed and stared up at the blue sky, bored out of her mind. She wished she had someone to talk to. She very much hated being so alone. She hadn't any place to go, and she still didn't know how she ended up on Route 1.

Kaki felt herself becoming warmer, although under the shade of a tree. She lifted her hand and set the back of her hand against her forehead, feeling that she was just slightly on the cool side from sitting under the shade. She didn't know what to think of it, now. SHe might be going completely insane. After all, there were no Pokemon, she felt like she had a fever, but felt great, and her skin felt right as rain. Not to mention the fact that she was beginning to hear voices that were becoming louder.

Wait! Kaki turned her head, looking out over the trail. A large group of people moving down the trail. Perhaps they could help her? She was so tempted to ask for one of them to feel her forehead to see if anything felt wrong, but, they were complete strangers! Kaki notcied that there were a few girls in the group that was traveling, and she felt slightly more at ease. She hadn't any idea why, but, she always felt a lot more comfortable around her own gender.

Kaki sighed to herself, wondering how she should go about this. But, for now, they were too far away, so she stood and watched, waiting for them to come closer.

Zaiku's current feelings were as mixed as a bowl of assorted cashews. He had now slowed down, but he seemed to have an infinite amount of energy.
He was still in the front, the others didn't seem to be as vibrant as him at the moment. Then again, they probably haven't travelled around Kanto collecting the badges and defeating the Elite 4 all with 1 Pokemon like he had. He then thought about what would happen next, he started feeling a little diffeent, his hair seemed to be just a wee bit neater, and his skin was slightly lighter. It was wierd. First missing Pokemon, now this.
"You just wait Erureido, you can depend on me! I will find you." He was whispering to himself under his breath.
He then saw somebody sitting under a tree directly in front of him, the others were around 2 minutes behind. He patiently waited for the others, not seeming to notice the girl under the tree.

Ruya hummed softly to herself as she gazed around at the trees and listened to the soft rustle of wind. The place didn't feel right to her, having traveled through so many forests teaming with Pokemon life on her journey, but it was still calming. All the same, it would have been much nicer if there had been bird Pokemon chirping, bugs humming, the occasional bark of or growl of a hidden canine in the bushes or a Stantler bounding across the path in front of her. Well, ok, there wouldn't be any Stantler in the Kanto forests, but there would be other Pokemon.

She didn't join in on the conversation shared by the others. Her mood had steadily improved throughout the trip and she felt perfectly cheerful again, but she was still content to walk along in silence and let everyone else do the talking.

Eventually one of the group paused up ahead. It was Cain. He had been walking faster than everyone else and staying in front the whole way. That was his choice, but she did feel he was acting a bit like a newbie trainer. She had certainly tried to sprint from Ecruteak to Mahogany Town when she set off on her journey. The attempt ended in her and her Pokemon collapsing exhausted next to a tree and waking up the next morning with a Rattata sleeping in her bag. Her very first capture. She'd trained it until setting off for Shinnoh where it had been content to stay with Professor Elm.

As she nearer to Cain, her eyes caught a figure sitting beneath a tree a short distance away. She squinted, her eyes picking out the features of a slim girl around her own age with fiery red hair. It was about this time that Ruya noticed an improvement in her eyesight. She had always had good eyes, but she couldn't pick out features so well from so far away before. She shrugged it off and continued walking, giving a nod to Cain as she passed him. The girl was sitting on the ground, though it seemed like she had spotted them. Perhaps the reason she hadn't risen to her feet was because she was injured.

"Hello," she said kindly as she drew nearer, "do you need some help? You look worn out." And she certainly did. Apparently this girl was feeling the strain of losing Pokemon too.

It was around this time that Kaki was beginning to consiter her thought-out actions, thinking that the group of friends might just laugh at her and she might be rejected. Again. Kaki wasn't afraid of most things, but her biggest fear would have to be rejection.

Kaki sighed and sat back down on the grass, Indian style, looking down at her open palms. She noticed that her veins were thin, barely visable. "Dehydrated," She mumbled to herself. There would probably be water in her backpack, too bad she had left it at the camp site near Lavender, too upset about her Pokemon to think about her needs.

"Hello," A kind voice said, causing Kaki to look up, being greeted with a smile that matched the young girl's tone. "Do you need some help? You look worn out." She asked. Kaki looked back down at her hands, staying silent for a moment before answering; "Yeah... I'm in need of some help..." She admitted despritely.

Kaki sighed, looking up at the kind female once more. Finally, she got onto her feet, pushing a lock of fiery red hair out of her face and behind her ear. "Uhm, I know this must sound really stupid, but, will you feel my forehead? I feel like I have a fever, and my throat hurts, but other than feeling hot and my throat hurting I feel alright... I felt my forehead a little bit ago and I actually felt cold, according to the temperate out here. I don't know what's wrong with me..."

A frown crossed Ruya's face as she listened to the red headed girl talk. It sounded as though she was sick which wasn't good when you were on the road. She knelt down and placed a hand on the girl's forehead, being careful not to touch her skin with her nails. "Hmm, you do feel a bit warm," she said, removing her hand and looking her over. "You're also pale." She shrugged off her backpack then rummaged around inside until she found what she was looking for.

"Here," she said with a smile, offering the girl her water bottle. "It's probably not very cool but it might help your throat. I'm Ruya, by the way," she added, remembering her manners.

"And I am the king of love! I have fallen head over heels for you. Take me, O master of water!" Travis yelled as he slid up to both girls, a rose in his mouth. Almost immediately after sliding, however, he spat the rose from his mouth and gasped "GREAT MEW, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME TODAY!" and commenced with beating his head against the nearest object, which happened to be the tree that the red-headed girl was leaning against. Leaping to his feet, he bowed his head and stammered. "So- so Sorry! I am Travis, the self-appointed leader of this venture. Forgive me for my rude and ungentlemanly conduct!" Without another word, he dropped to his feet again in a kowtow. If he was lucky, they wouldn't chop his head off and roast him. If he was lucky.

This time Ruya's mouth twitched. King of love, master of water, that's a tad...odd. Still, it had been rude, especially since Travis had never met the red headed girl before. She raised one hand to slap him, but decided against it. Travis was too busy beating his against the tree for her to get a clear shot anyway. Shoot, I was actually gonna hit him this time.

Once he had finished beating himself up he began stammering apologies. Ruya turned her head to the red head and said, "He has an odd way of introducing himself. Still, if you want to smack him feel free. I would have but he already beat himself up."

Kaki sighed with relief at the girl's answer. At least she wasn't insane. Just sick, maybe. "Thanks," Kaki simply said, smiling to the girl. Kaki was expecting the girl to just walk away after that, her request being filled. Kaki began feeling slightly light headed, but didn't know exactly where to go next.

"Here," The girl continued, Kaki finding a bottle of water extended towards her. Kaki glanced up from the water bottle to Ruya she said her name was, and then back down at the water bottle. Finally, Kaki removed the water bottle from her fingers. "Thanks, again... R -Ruya... right? Well, uhm, the name's Kaki." Kaki replied, extending her hand towards Ruya, and attempt of a warm smile on her face.

Izzy merely trailed behind the rest of the group, not having much to say. Other than when she had something to complain about, she was fairly content to just enjoy the silence even when in the company of others, and this was no exception. (Her highly sociable family considered this to be one of her many 'quirks'.) She never considered the fact that this may have made the others find her boring, and therefore didn't even bother to bring up some kind of conversation. The teen figured that if she felt fine, the others did as well.

So, she just keep walking with the others, feeling no boredom despite the lack of exciting events. Well, until Ruya noticed an exhausted-looking girl, whom Travis immediately professed his undying love to in a spasmatic episode of purple prose.
Inwardly weirded out, Izzy tried her best to maintain her usual disinterested facade, and merely turned back to the new girl, who introduced herself as Kaki.

Not wanting to be rude, the blond teen headed closer towards the others to introduce herself as well, though perhaps not in as warm a matter as Ruya had. She had to keep her aloof 'image', afterall.
With a small hand gesture, she made her presence known, before speaking in her casual, detached tone, her face remaining disinterested.

"Nice to meet ya, Kaki. The name's Izzy."

(Eh, sorry it's crap: I'm suffering from horrible brainfarts. >.<; )
