The Stars Are Aligning (Japanese Spoilers)

I dunno, they can know the shadier other villains, like, say, Lyon and Zanna from the fifth movie. I'm just acknowledging the possibility, but, yeah, they most likely don't know. Of course, there is the possibility of off-camera knowledge/events, as the series occasionally does (Giovanni and Mewtwo).

Although, good point on J/J/M being in the wilderness most of the time.

I'm pretty sure that's because they stalk Ash and co. almost all the time, and since they love to ambush them, the woods aren't a surprising choice to be honest. I'm puzzled at how they find places to buy their mechas anyway. If they did buy those parts in a city, then they should be quite up-to-date with news and such.

Honestly, I find them as idiot savants. Things you'd think they wouldn't know, they do (the rare/new Pokemon of the various new regions they're in, for instance).

Anyway, in early Johto, they ordered their mechas online, which explains many things. But, the writers haven't done/revived the issue since. I don't know if it was a 4Kids only line of thought or not, but it was a valid one (or should have been).

While we're on this, we need more urban surroundings -- they usually don't cover the canon cities long enough, and we're back to the wilderness again. But that's a new rant altogether.

That is true. We don't get enough city episodes and it seems as if Sinnoh has mostly wilderness. I mean have we even seen just a filler city? We got like a lot of them in Hoenn and in Battle Frontier but not that many here.

Still there is the chance that Team Rocket like gets a lot of parts while they are in a city and then just carry it around. Teeheehee

Well, since the series is trying to be video game canon friendly this time, that would explain the current lack of filler cities/villages. As for carrying parts, well, we hardly see the Meowth balloon's payload, so maybe they are. Heh.

Moving onto the subject at hand. Here's a thought, maybe we'll have an Ash/Dawn Double Battle with two Grunts, like the Warehouse scene in the games? They're using the female game character, so the opportunity would be valid.

The anime does seem to be paying more attention to what went on in the games, the locations and all, but not by much --- they've held off the debuts of Cyrus, Mars, Jupiter, the grunts in general, skipped over the Old Chateau (though I can understand that one), Fantina didn't appear while they were in Hearthome like she did in the games, but I think all those are somewhat trivial.

I think a double battle between Ash/Dawn and two grunts would be interesting. I'm sure Dawn and Ash would work together more now (if I remember correctly, in "The Champ Twins" episode they bickered quite a lot). Them fighting together again is something I'd like to see. I'm also somewhat interested in what Pokémon the grunts have. I think they'll have the same ones as they had in the games, or...did the past evil Team members in the anime have something different? I can't remember that far back.

In any case, Saturn is reappearing in this episode. I'm still hoping for a reference to or appearance by the other commanders, or Cyrus. I think Paul is coming back as well.

Anime Aqua had the usual Water types: Walrein, Crawdaunt, pre-evolved form of Sharpedo (can't spell it at the moment) and I think one other, while anime Magma was more unique, as less ground-based. They had Golbat, Mightyena, but Ditto was a shocker (due to Bannai's abilities). Although, I'm debating Butler and his Dark/Dragon/Psychic/Ghost types, as he was a former Magma scientist, but that's another debate for another time.

As for Saturn...

Spoiler:

Yeppie it does seem like they are paying attention to the game more. Still it be nice if they did. I think we can expect more of fillar towns with how Dawn is going right now in Contests.

I am more intrested in seeing Mars. I mean Saturn is good and all but really he got an apperence already twice and really I would like to see more of the Galatic people and Mars is one I really want to see. Don't we have another Galatic event like somewhere before the next gym?

Well, I do enjoy Saturn, but, I'm with you, as I've been expecting anime Mars since the D/P game rumors started.

Considering how the anime shafted Homura while giving Bannai the spotlight, I worry they'll do it again. Only, they'll swap a canon character with a canon character, rather than a canon one with an anime one. Ugh.

Then, we have Jupiter, who might be the most shafted of all.

Saturn's appearing yet again. O_o

At least this time, we get to see his Toxicroak (which happens to be a shiny) and the highlight of this episode will undoubtedly be Brock's Croagunk versus Sautrn's Toxicroak.

Yeah, I heard about that.

It will be interesting to see Saturn be really proactive, as we've just seen him in the shadows so far, or his reduced role (Didn't see his second appearance). Although, it makes me wonder on what the writers'll do whenever the series covers the Spirit trio (covering his canon battles and the additional screen time compared to what Mars and Jupiter would get. Whereas, the game granted everyone, more or less, equal time.)
