They passed up their chance for water/ice when they made Empoleon water/steel.

True, but then wouldn't that mean they'd get the chance to make a second Water+Ice Pokémon? (Lapras being the first, and I'm pretty certain it's the only)

EDIT: I'm wrong, forgot about Spheal and it's evos. silly me. :P

Um...What about Dewgong and Cloyster?

But yes, they would get another chance to make more Water/Ice, but I'd ather have a Water/Fighting starter, and then they can make some Water/Ice types later. :P

I'll start with Pokabu on White and Tsutaaja on Black, but if Mijumaru has cool evolutions I might get it on Black, trade it to Platinum, start new game on Black with Tsutaaja, then trade Mijumaru back on to Black.

You can't trade 5th Gen Pokemon to Platinum... you can't even trade ur Pokemon from the old games, just transfer them.

I couldn't hear Chiramii But i could here Mijumaru and Tsutaja and they sounded pretty good.

Mijumaru has the best cry so far and the best animation of the starter Pokemon....

In that video, Shimama - the electric pony Pokemon - uses an electric attack on Mijumaru. That attack is supposedly called "Wild Bolt," and is similar to Volt Tackle in that it's powerful but gives recoil damage to the user.

In that video a level 50 Shimama uses Wild Bolt on a level 50 Mijumaru, and Mijumaru survives the attack even though it's super-effective. This means one of three things:

1) Wild Bolt is actually quite a weak attack
2) Mijumaru has high Defense (I'm assuming Wild Bolt is a Physical attack)
3) Shimama has low Attack (again, assuming Wild Bolt is Physical)

So maybe we already know something about the new Pokemon's stats! Thoughts?

I didn't really hear Mijumaru, but I could faintly hear Chiramii and Tsutaja clearly. I love them! And Tsutaja really sounds serpent-y! XD

I heard them all and they were pretty cool but what really caught my eye was all the movement going on in the battle scene. The background moves too and i think that is pretty cool. I love the new battle system. Ps i love how Gear moves during battle.

I didn't hear the cries, but I'll take your word for it. I wasn't paying too much attention. Was too busy liking the battle scenes.

I loved it. Seems like sandstorm is back in the desert (@ 1:11) but I don't mind and was kind of expecting it.

I'm really impressed w/ the graphics and animation (even Zoroark & Zorua's eyelids were moving ) and the entrance to the battle (w/ Mijumaru and Munna) was pretty good too. Heard Mijumaru's cry..I think..and it sound sort of like a high pitch (if I'm right).

The thing that most impressed me though was the battle between Gear and Tsutaja. When I first saw Gear I thought it was sort of stupid, like a magneton just made out of Gears. But that attack, whatever it was, just floored me.

I was predicting Miju would have a high defense/ sp.def. Since it's based off of a sea otter it's not going to have an as strong attack as it would defense. If I can remember, sea otters aren't very fast creatures so it would make sense.

I only heard Mijumaru and he sounded cool!
I think a honey wall in a bug type gym would be awesome!
I like the crocodile's sprite and how it moves :3
