Project Steel Blue Version

Project Steel Blue Version
An
Alas, as I'd probably just butcher Ink Black's plot at the moment... I'm resorting to Steel Blue as the first project. I'm a complete newbie in all fields myself (well, except ideas and character development; I have a fair amount of... er, imagination... in that regard, I suppose), though I'm beginning to pick up on mapping and a few other tools. Next up, scripting. Anyways. I'll stop blubbering about myself now.
Some help from others, perhaps with a bit more experience than myself, would help a lot. C: Aside from beta testers, (as I've already recruited about four or five offsite), all positions are open.
Plot
Spoiler:
After the events of the Spear Pillar, it was proven that a few ten year olds (one scantily dressed for the occasion) an elderly professor, and several adults of varying ages in thin spaceman costumes could survive the ascent of Mt. Coronet, completing it within less than a day and making it home for dinner to boot. Well, provided that capable partners accompanied them through their travels.
So, the prestigious trainer's school of Jubilife had to figure- why couldn't they take some of the older students, just weeks away from grading with full honors, on a field trip there? The school had enough Pokemon to keep an eye out for each student in their travels and keep wild creatures at bay.
So, that's what they did. While finding a way to bring a group of twelve year olds, all of whom are barely able to contain their excitement, up Sinnoh's largest mountain is difficult, it isn't impossible. With a chaperon for each child plus two teachers and several tamed and powerful Pokemon, things run fairly smoothly from the start. Wild Pokemon, frightened by such a large pack, keep their distance. All is well.
Enter the problem known as the protagonist and his/her best friend (Also known as your chosen gender and the gender opposite; think May or Brendan). Not content to follow the beaten path of heroes and villains at the slow pace teachers and parents force upon the students, the two of you break for it at the first opportunity. Along with a loyal Spheal under the ownership of your friend, the two of you become lost within the mess of caves leading in and out of the mountain.
Hungry, wet, and quite near frozen solid, the three of you seek shelter from the onslaught of hail inside of one of the many caves. Still willing to call it quits on the exploration without something to show to it, the pair of you push yourselves to continue on exploring. It was to be that resolve that led the pair of you towards something that would perhaps be more than you could chew.
After stumbling about for a bit longer, your friend and the player character come across what Ruin Maniacs and researchers alike have seeked for generations- the resting chamber of the Adamant and Lustrous orbs. New life at the sight of the discovery fills you both, and you decide to take these treasures back, not knowing their priceless worth, to the class for bragging rights. They surely wouldn't punish the two of you if you came back with something this great, right?
Unfortunately, in your excitement and haste to claim such treasures and get back to food and warmth, the player character accidentally causes the Adamant Orb to drop, shattering it.
At that moment, all hell breaks loose.
Dialga, summoned by the orb to return to the Spear Pillar, flies into a rage the moment it's orb is shattered. And then the planet was paralyzed. It proceeds to appear before the two children with full intent on punishing such incompetence, time becoming distorted in assorted patches in its wake. Passing through one of said patches would steal the individual away, bringing them randomly forward or backwards in time.
Frightened out of your wits, the pair of you dash to escape. It is then the Adamant Orb begins glowing as a reaction to the loss of the balancing orb, causing you to loose each other upon diving desperately into one of the time portals.
Congratulations, you've just become fugitives in time. Your partner for his orb, yourself for obvious reasons. While you've briefly managed to lose Dialga, who's intent on claiming your head in in it's rage by now, you have no idea where you are, you have no Pokemon for your protection, and, overall, at your limit. Player character promptly whites out.
You awaken to find yourself in a bed of sorts, within a house in a port town. Found by some workers collapsed in the dirt, you learn that you're resting on Iron Island... A decade in the past. It's here that the player character is to meet a boy a year or so older than him/herself with the power to sense and, to an extent, control aura (Hello, Riley).
At his age, he hasn't much experience, however, he knows enough to be able to sense when a divine force is somewhere nearby. The two of you decide to partner up, for the sake of your survival and his desire to get away from Canalave/Iron Island and improve himself. Perhaps not the wisest decision in terms of his life, but certainly more exciting than his current lifestyle, ne?it's also a plus to know when your killer is around.
Thus, your goal is twofold- train to become powerful enough to hold on your own against Dialga, or at least enough to win the mythical beast over to keep yourself from getting in any more trouble. However, to do this, you must find a way to beat time itself- eluding Dialga, while perhaps taking gym challenges on the side. Secondly, look for your lost friend (who is to become your rival).
It's truly a race against time; for your sake, let's hope you finish first.
