I don't know the number but the last thing what happened is that Garland guy just beat Tala XD.

Then the next four are just training, it's more or less just the core team training for the final world battle. Then in 40 Kai starts his battle with brooklyn.

But at the end of the last epi it looked like Kai was gonna help Bega *is confused*

He sorta does, he enters the world finals as a member of BEGA. But at the final two battles since BBA is one loss away from losing they need a fifth member and he joins for that battle.
