Hey who can name the best couples in ToS?
 
Of course the two of you can join. :D I'll add your names to the list~

I'd name my favourite pairings but...they're probably inappropriate for a Pokemon forum? oO;;
 
I thought that Presea was hard. ;-; I always got her in the lowest affection score. ;-;

... Favorite parings? All I can say is that i'm a ToS purist. <3 But I like good, convincing, fanfictions. >D
 
I asked to join a while back, but I didn't see my name on the Members List. Am I welcome here?

ON TOPIC: Well, naming the best couples would have to be based on preferences. I like the Lloyd/Raine, Lloyd/Sheena, Genis/Presea, and Kratos/Raine couples the best.

Lloyd/Raine - Despite everyone's whining, this one can work. Little Lloyd just needs to mature. Which is pretty much inevitable, because within...about 30 to 40 years, Lloyd will most likely be more mature than Raine, since she's gonna be around for centuries...

Lloyd/Sheena - Their personalities are very similar, and personality can make a very good relationship. I'm sure most can agree with me on that. Like Lloyd, Sheena doesn't like the idea of sacrificing anyone. Just look at when Sheena first joined the group. She was constantly (well, maybe I'm exaggerating here) convincing Colette to quit the world regeneration. Sure, she had other reasons, but she also didn't want to kill Colette. If she really wanted to, she would've done it, trust me. And do I really need to say anything else about Lloyd? We all know how much he hates losing his friends.

Genis/Presea - Isn't puppy love sweet? ^^ Even though it's a one-way love, I just like looking at those two together.

Kratos/Raine - I can see why people like this couple so much, it's more of a fanbase thing. The possibilities these two can get into are endless. That's why there are so many fanfictions out there between the two of them.

Anybody agree or disagree? I'd love to see your opinions on these.

Well, I can't see Lloyd being more mature than Raine, but I can see this one working. He'd have to be older than he is now, though, since she's technically still his teacher and I can't see her straying from that role in his life while he's still in his teens. However, I can see him maturing greatly in the couple of years after the game, so I can also see this one happening. o_o; It's just... weird to read fanfiction on it when people write Lloyd as he is in the beginning of the game--that's all I've seen for this pairing so that kinda ruined it for me. x_X

I hate Colette almost as much as I hate the pairing Lloyd/Colette. But, I do tend to like it if it's written properly in fanfiction, since that's really all I do on the internet other than browse PC--read TOS fanfiction. So, if a pairing is written well, I tend to start liking it. Hence my strange pairing preferences like KratosxZelos...and the two barely even interact in the game. o_O; But they were written well in several fanfics, so I like it. o_o
 
No idea, but the reason why I hate Collete sometimes is because with her high affection with Llyod, making it hard to get thooked up with the other characters. Towards my opinion, Zelos is the hardest.

It's sad that you can only pick Kratos or Zelos. In my third game, I wanted to get Kratos back in my party, but that means I need to ditch Zelos. If I do that, I won't get some really good sidequests (Dinner party, Hot Tub, Hilda rescue). Can anyone help me decide?

I guess it depends if you've done those sidequests already. If you've done the Dinner Party sidequest and have recieved everyone's formal costume, there's no need to do it again other than to help boost someone's affection towards Lloyd. Same goes for the other two. You'll just get titles for doing them, and you can always carry those over using GRADE at the end of the game.

If you've done all the things for Zelos and Kratos already, then I dunno. Pick whichever one you like fighting with more?
 
I recommend taking the Zelos route if you haven't gotten all the costumes yet, because the Dinner Party and Swimsuit sidequests require Zelos. If you've already done that, then choose who you like.

EDIT: Oh man, I was beat to it!

You should defiantly get Kratos in at least *one * of your playthroughs. It'll make things more interesting. =D

Colette... Well... I felt that they did a rather poor job with characterization. <<; They should've gave Colette some hate. xD

I should do that...I'm gonna do that. I've played through it six times, but I've yet to take the Kratos route. I really want to see that "Dad" skit, I haven't seen it yet.

About Colette...she's so unrealistic. No one could be that optimistic and function in the real world. Also, the innocence is sickening. I mean, come on, she's 16! I think she should know when a sexual reference is made...

I only time I've seen her get angry in the game is right after the Flanior scenes when Lloyd tells everyone he wants to attack Cruxis. And the voice was a bit overacted.

Oh, and when Pronyma tried to take away the Key Crest that Lloyd made for her on the mountain in Tethe'alla.
 
ToS 2? Probablly about Mithos and stuff... <<; But that'll be cool, but kinda predictable. xD

...That's was her idea of angry? xD I was hoping for stuff like, "I don't want to become a chosen!" Or more selfishness would've been nice. <<;

MITHOS! =D he was among my favorite characters...you've got to feel sorry for him...T_T hehe he is so evil and sneaky...yet strangely nice XD

Mithos was a good character... with good + evil + selfishness + love rolled into one. <3
