    Hello! This is the Three Musketeers Challenge! The rules aren't extremely complicated, so here they are:
    • You may only use 3 Pokemon.
    • You may not use HM slaves.
    • You may not switch out Pokemon in your team after you have your 3 Pokemon.
    • You must catch your 3 Pokemon in the first 5 routes of the region.
    • Your Pokemon must not share any types, even with double-types.
    • You may use HM slaves if a HM is required to complete the story that none of your Pokemon can learn.
    • You may choose not to use your starter Pokemon.
    • You must defeat certain trainers to win, listed below.
    Trainers needed to defeat for completion:
    Gen I-IV - Champion
    Pokemon Black and White - Ghetsis
    Pokemon Black and White 2 - Iris
    Gen VI - Emma/Essentia (Seventh Battle)
    I will also be doing this challenge with Pokemon Platinum, sorry for the delay I have to get my good Pokemon over to Soul Silver so I can reset Platinum.

    I am going to do it on Emerald. I think that I ll be using Blaziken, Peliper and either mightyena either Shiftry (depends on where I can find Leaf Stone).
     
    Can you trade in Pokemon to use? I'd like to use Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle for this challenge, but yeah. You obviously can't get that at the very beginning.
     
    Yes, but you have to get them before you leave the first 5 routes. I'll add you two to the challengers.
     
    I'mma do this on Emerald as well.

    Edit: Is the forrest considered a route or is considered part of route 104?

    Actually I switched to Sapphire because I hate that puzzle with holes >.< I ll post update tomorrow when I have some more time to play =)
     
    I'll try, either with Black or Emerald. Depends on how far I am on my previous emerald file.

    Sorry for being so slow on progress, I don't have much motivation and I'm more focused on Pokemon Universe right now.

    How are you getting to the E4 with the use of no HMs.
     
    I thought we weren't allowed to use HM slaves, so my Ludicolo has Surf & Strength, I'll only have room for Ice Beam and Rain Dance but whatever. I should finish it by tonight or tomorrow, I've been helping my friend with an RSPS so I don't really have time.
     
    Rule six says you can use them if the pokemon you have cannot learn the needed moves. One would be smart to intentionally get pokemon that can't learn many HMs :D
