~[-The Toothache Fanclub-]~

I should post here more.

How are you Toothache? Any better?

Hey people.

Yeah, I'm a little better, thanks for asking. Turned up at work, so that's good. I'm gonna be a little strapped for cash this next fortnight (sick pay suxxors), but I'm sure I'll cope.

BTW Matt, need to update the members list and add Chairman Kaga and _____ to ze list.

Hey, I'm not doing too bad. Working actually being pleasant for a change, even though it's busy lately (being next to the cinema brings a lot of business, especially with popular movies like The Da Vinci Code and X-Men 3 out at the moment. Which reminds me I want to see X-Men 3, but don't get paid until Tuesday.)

Toothache is a pwning and helpful member, so I guess I'll join ^^

Yeah, welcome indeed. And you are pretty cool yourself, so no worries.

Random quote of the day: Before the internet, the village idiot stayed in his own village.

Kooly, Tooth's Fan club. Sure I'll join =D
Got some questions to ask you =D

Hey, welcome Fr0st.

Go on, what are your questions? We can turn this into an 'Ask Toothy' kind of session. :-)

'sup Dawg... I mean Drummershuff.

Are you two still name swapping?

Suppose that Naminé will drop a message in Mr. Toothache's club since he so kindly posted at hers as well? She thinks that Mr. Dawg 2005 and Mr. Drummershuff are continuing with the name swap, and doubts that they can honestly change it until a time period of one year is over, as with any name changing policy in PC...

Pray that Mr. Toothache is doing well at this very moment...?

Keep Tryin', Naminé!

A year? That's gonna confuse me even more...

I'm doing good, thanks for asking. Just got a few pictures developed, so I'll hopefully be able to add a few of myself online.

Welcome to the club, Ms. Naminé (I got the accent this time, woot!).

Naminé thanks Mr. Toothache for his warm welcome to his club. It is her pleasure to be here with Mr. Toothache in his club as well. The accent on é seems to be rather difficult to type for most people that she has come across to. In her experience, not many people know the alt+0233 combination of keys can type the desired accent... Naminé wonder how did they type the é in Pokémon then when they are being technical?

Indeed it is rather confusing... Naminé decided to address them by their former username instead. Mr. Drummershuff is the current "Dawg 2005" in PC, yet she continues to address him as so. It is slightly easier this way for her because Mr. Drummershuff's (as in, the original Mr. Drummershuff before the name change) email address contains the word "Drummershuff" within it, so that is a sure indicator of who is who.

Hmm... Starmie and Skarmory? It reminds Naminé of her Pokemon Emerald game where she also has a Skarmory~ Yet, Emerald feels so repetitive to Naminé that she moved on to another game already. Why, it is believed that she left the game when she is to visit Seafloor cavern and its numerous annoying Zubat as random encounters... Magma and Aqua bases with wild random encounter is hideous nuisance.

Keep Tryin', Naminé!

At least the Magma base is fairly useful for EV training (Geodude gives 1 Defence, Graveller 2 points, and Torkoal 2 points). If you really get sick of random encounters, there's always Repels.

Is it really worth making a new game in order to make some high level strategy training possible? Naminé doubts so. She has heard of EV, but she has no true understanding of the concept, nor does she decide to give too much ear to it either... Most players are probably similar to her, and will not want to play Emerald only for "EV training" whatever it is... While on the other hand, surely the elite trainers have already figured out a way to do it without emerald.

Yes she did use the repel she has from her Linoone, but it does not seem to satisfy her need in great quantity. It honestly does not help too much that after 4 Zubats for wild encounter, Naminé meets up with an Aqua grunt... and it's more Zubats to battle... Confuse Ray is such a nuisance to delay the inevitable.

The Pokemon Game can truly use some better AI, while they are making Diamond and Pearl...

Keep Tryin', Naminé~! ^-^
*pinches herself* (Such a jolly and happy day... So bubbly and squishy in feeling~)

Ah, if it's confusion that is the problem, try using something with Own Tempo. This handy dandy trait prevents confusion. Good choice include the Slowpoke line. And I do agree, they do need to use a lot greater variety in the Team Aqua/Magma Pokemon. They are supposed to be dangerous bad guys, and yet use common Pokemon like Numel and Zubat.

The AI has improved somewhat since the earlier days, although a bit more predictable now, it's still better than it used to be.
