Welcome everyone, to The Water Cube! I've decided to revive my old Whirl Cup Tournament due to all the active battlers we have floating around. What is the Whirl Cup? Glad you asked! :mudkip^_^:

This should be pretty fun for everyone, especially considering water types are very versatile and can learn a wide variety of moves, so creating a full water team that pwns the competition is easy! The prizes of the tournament are yet to be determined, I'll probably find some shops to donate. Obviously, the prize should be something water related.
Now on to the rules...
a) No Uber-Legends (Kyogre, Manaphy) water types will be permitted in this competition. No other ubers will be allowed (obviously) considering this is water types only. Suicune is the only one that falls into OU and under legends, so they'll be allowed once the Quarter-Final stage begins, but not during the 3v3.
b) Dragon and Ice types don't count as water Pokemon, folks. Even if they're based on water animals or whatever, if they aren't actually the water type you can't use them.
c) No Hax Items will be permitted. This includes Scope Lens, Brightpowder, Lax Incense, King's Rock, Razor Claw, and Quick Claw.
d) At least for now, you must have three trained water members ready for the beginning of the tournament. The latter rounds will add more, but if you choose to use less than your opponent that's your decision.
e) Lv.100 wifi battles of course. Also all standard clauses will be in effect.
f) You may not use more than one of the same Pokemon. It's a little silly to come into a fight with three Blastoise, even if they are in some way different. If you want to bring a Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise, however, that's fine with me. ^_^
g) No hacked Pokemon. Duh. :P People work hard to train their beloved water types, we don't need hax0rz clogging up the place. If you mention/ask about using hacked Pokemon or if you mention anything here (or to me/another via VM/PM) about Pokesav Pokemon, you will be disqualified. Seriously, make the effort, train the hardcore way and not the cheap way.
I think that's it for now...any questions feel free to ask and I'll update this post with entries and additions to rules/etc. We'll be taking 16 total entrants, but I'm going to be picky with choosing who gets in and who doesn't. Last time I hosted the Cup I had random members join who didn't have water types ready or intend on even staying on PC. So what I do is, I'll set a due date in a few days for entries, then after I have about 25 sign-ups i'll choose 16 people to enter. Good luck everyone! With only 16 entrants, there should be plenty of time for people to become Whirl Cup champs!
