Hey their everyone it's me GeraldTheTheroiest here with a little thread discussing the announcement of the new Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire games.
This thread is here just to raise the question that the new games are in fact sequals instead of actual remakes. I base this on a few factors.
-In the trailer it says "A Epic New Adventure is Coming" While this could just mean the new games are coming, it could also mean that it's a new adventure in Hoen.
-If the games use the X and Y engine then that would mean it would be a 3D title, rather than a top down perspective, again this could just be the original with a 3D engine, but i would find it rather weird for gamefreak to do so.
-Lastly in the box art it looks like Groudon and Kyogre are in their mega-evolution states, something that was not introduced until generation 6 implying that mega-evolutions have already been discovered which was not true in the original(i don't play X and Y alot so i could be wrong about their mega-evolutions)
This is just a idea i have, what do you guys think?
