They've Screwed Up Star Wars: Galaxies

Lucas arts are fools

the one game I wanted to get again (my old one broke, forgot all about it, only rememberd about a week ago)

I look about for Star Wars Galaxies and I can't find it anywhere, then I find it but they've remade it into "STG The Starter Kit", which is STG and Jump To Lightspeed expansion pack rolled into one, I read up on this new hybrid thingy and find out that PC Gamer Magazine gave it 27%, they gave the original like 90%. Lucasarts have pulled the game to peices, thers nothing left, I used to be a genetic Engineer and that jobs not in it, neither's the pilot, or the politician, weapon specialist. They've dulled it down to about 5 jobs with 20 Hybrids.

The guns are cack

You can start off as a Jedi which is no way as fun

They've totally remade the Fighting system so now you have a bunch of confusing numbers that don't even make sense, like you'll hit a 12 and then later 34 which does exictaley the same damage as the 12.

and all this because some little bugs in the original

forget everquest you should've got guild wars, now thats worth the money you pay for it


but it is a sham about galaxies, but to make it as good as the original you'll need the expansion packs (all 3 of them) and then it will mask the dreadful flaws.

It's still a good game, but they took out Hoth and Dantooine

I advise you all if you want this game (which would be a brilliant buy) TO GET THE ORIGINAL stay away from the Starter Kit.

what else can you call it? It has millions of people playing it on multiple servers, the world is huge, it has quests and it's got the upper hand on the rest....

i agree they have messed up the game since you cant even tame animals any more which was a way to get money

Ok I bought this game the day it came out and trained and trained, i was a Doctor, working on beefing up my rifle skills when LucasArts decides "hey lets completely change the game!" And in the end completely destroyed everything I had worked so hard to obtain.

It was cool when randomly walking around with your freinds on tatooine and you run into a REAL Krayyt Dragon. All I see on the screen is expletives and screaming as we get masacred only to have the lone Jedi (a rarity then) distract it long enough for us to escape and not have to respawn.

There were so many different jobs and classes and walking through the spaceport on Naboo seeing the hundred plus Vendors hawking their crap was just amazing. Everyone did something and you didnt all have to fight to succeed in the game. Now its just some shoot em up more focused on action and catering to ADHD kids who saw the first three star wars films.

Im sorry I was just very angry, as I was when cheaters ruined Phantasy Star Online. Whats the fun of finding a rare weopon that EVERYONE has already duped....grrr.

Oh and as far as I know you cant play the old games online now, since the server completely is dedicated to the new ones. Such a waste...:(
