This team was suggested to me. Should I go with it?

A friend of mine made some changes on my Tokyo Mew Mew team. I didn't like some of the movesets (I even prefered my old team over this), so I thought I'd show it to you guys.

BTW, I'd really appreciate if you don't give me any movesets revolving around Substitute or Choice Band. Sub is pretty cheap in my eyes (I REALLY have a lot of trouble against it), and Choice Band sets are too risky since the opponent might switch to something that might resist the move you're stuck with.

    Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
    - Cross Chop
    - Earthquake
    - Hidden Power [Ghost]
    - Rock Slide

    Mightyena (F) @ Quick Claw ** Zakuro
    Trait: Intimidate

besides EV needs to be tempered a little, it somewhat works... just that Altaria is a bad hazer (calm minders commonly have ice moves, and dragon dancers got rock slide), and you got no way to stop a flailing monster due to lack of quick attack. In terms of moves, just take out Perisan's aerial ace for Fake Out.

As for choice band, well of course for balance reasons you need a way to counter it... plus choice band's bonus is very good for some Pokemon such as Dugtrio. Switching takes skill too so ^-^

As for substitute being cheap, it's actually very easy to manage...

    a) use mutli-hit moves to break substitute, such as bonemerang, or rock blast.
    b) just break the sub with brute force
    c) pseudoahaze it so they waste 25% hp for nothing

Substitute does cost hp to be created, and all but Snorlax's sub is very easy to handle to me... snorlax's sub is hard to handle because Snorlax is so slow, and that lameo always get one focus punch off... grrr! For everything else, there is a way to get it off. Snorlax is difficult, because unless you are super buffed up, or is using cross chop/medicham, it will always have around 50% hp left to sub with after taking the first hit...

I used to think that Blissey was the cheapest thing on the planet (still do to an extent - stall teams are never fun to go up against, and Hariyama, heaven help him, isn't doing as good as I figured he would =/ still awesome though, Knock Off roxxors your boxxors) but I decided to use one on my team, found she was awesome, and never looked back.

The point is that Substitutes are NOT cheap, I don't care what anyone says. They're an essential strategy for survival in the metagame when used right - trust me on this. And while I admit CBers DO run the risk you mentioned, it's nothing a skilled player can't get around. Hell, I've pulled off quite a few wins with Aerodactyl even after suffering near losses because of a well-timed switch by my opponent (with some Rock Slide flinchhax thrown in for good measure), and trust me, it wasn't easy but in the end, I was all the better for it.

You really need to branch out a bit and stop being afraid of new things.

Oh, and the only thing halfway decent on that team is Primeape. Gorebyss maybe, but that's pushing it.

Persian: NEEDS Hypnosis. Has the fastest Sleep in the game, take advantage of it ffs.

Altaria: There's better Dragons. Ice Beam > Flamethrower as Boltbeam has almost no weak. I actually used this as a pseudohazer for a while and had a cool team combo going. (Altaria/Milotic/Gligar)

Primeape: I STILL say this thing could benefit from a Subpuncher set, but whatever.

Mightyena: Might work if you Snatched a SD or two, but watch your step. Bad set IMO.

Misdreavus: No. Just... no. UnSTABed Psychic is horrible. I don't care for RSE Misdreavus personally, but I can say it needs Mean Look.

    Gorebyss: Looks okay, I suppose...
