    This topic is kind of a school thing, I was just wondering, what your thoughts are of the types of kids at school? Popular/Jocks, Punks, Emos, Goths, Nerds, Rebels? There are quite a few, but in my opinion:
    I don't really liek the popular group at my school. They are all posh people who are mainly sporty and stuck up. They tend to pick on the unpopular people and...and...well they pick on anyone :\ When they hang out on the weekends, they just go to the movies or get some tea and go home...boring XD (sorry if this is kinda pointing out to be you). There is a group of punks who are in a band, but only one of them is really punk, no emos at my school! I wanted to be emo :P But there are goths, I dunno what to say about them... Nerds hang in the library, play computer, read books, play chess, but I, myself, fit in the rebel slot XD I don't really do BAD stuff, I kinda hang around those people, who smoke and drink and stuff, I hate smoking! I try to stop my mates from smoking :dead: but on the weekend, we tend to do allnighters and stuff, walk around town...being badass ;)

    Just wonderin' what catagory do you fit in? And what do you think of everyone else?

    I'm a nerd. ;P I read manga, books, get semi-good grades, the only touch is that I play the guitar. <<;

    Yeah... Sterotyping people is a very unpleasent thing... Especially if you're the victim.

    Indeed it is ._.;;

    If I must stereotype myself, nerd.

    The popular group at my school is actually really nice. =) Not all popular people are nasty, nor are all unpopular people nice, angelic victims~ =P

    Huhuhu I'm probably the psychopath.

    Most people in schools here don't really borther to fit into categories... so I suppose you can say we're all one big category... at least for schools like mine, we don't have specific types of people. If we categorize, it's usually by exam results, sports/music/etc. groups and stuff like that.

    At lunch and stuff, everyone sits in their own group, it's a pretty nice setup, the popular kids are all good little children XD who wouldn't touch alchohol or anything, and when something bad happens(e.g. some kid had a smoke) they turn it into world news, and gossip for ages, over nothing that big...:\

    Haha for us, we sit by... clusters of friends usually. Seemingly totally random.

    I'm not in a group...

    and I hate when people classify everyone into said groups... how much more high school can you get?

    I am a mental nerd[somewhat].I read manga and anime.I get B's in school.But i am somewhat memtal too.I am treated different from everyone else and get no respect due to my apperance.

    Out of those choices I'd probably be kinda a Jock and a Rebel. I don't think labelling Popular and Jock together is right. And if by jock, you mean sporty and nothing else, then I'm a jock. In England there are another two groups: Chavs and Blinger's.
    My opinion on them all is the same as my opinion for everything else, as long as they are happy being labelled the way they are and they don't cause problems for anyone else then I'm fine with them. Live and let live basically.

    Don't get me started on chavs... I wrote an essay about them in English and it got me an A* XD I'll post more about them later, as I need to see if I still have a copy of my essay saved on my computer.

    Oh, and this'll stay here CC ^_~

    Of course they know people laugh at them... well, everyone (who isn't one) laughs at them. Even the teachers do XD You should hear my RE teacher's impression of one particular chav (I hate calling them that... I much prefer my regional dialect of charva)

    Sorry 'bout that MCD, I just thought this wasn't that mature and deserved to be in the OVP. Anyway who are "Chavs".

    In school I'm kinda considered quite popular, I guess. I mean I pretty friendly though people say I seriously need to work on my sense of humour>XD!

    I'm not popular in that posh, stuck-up way. I'm just friendly with anyone and everyone though I've had my moments of shame.

    A chav is someone who basically has no respect for anyone but for him/herself. Chavs are rude and aggressive. They hang around in big groups, and wear horrible (fake) Burberry. Actually, it depends upon where in the UK you live, as where I live, it's Beghaus and Fred Perry. But anyways, chavs have no morals, no respect for elders or youngers. They are the lowest common denominator in modern society today.

    That's a brief summary of a chav. Be lucky they're only a UK breed... unfortunately -_-

    I guess chavs are the UK equvalent of the american "grunge-goth-punk annoying teenage kid"

    Meh...it's the same all over

    Nooooooooo! We have those, and they are the complete opposite of chavs. If you saw one of those, and a chav together... you'd really be able to spot the difference. It's hard to explain to someone who hasn't seen one before, because anyone who hasn't been in the UK over the lsat year or so really won't have seen them. They are a unique breed. Plus, all chavs like rap/dance/r n b music - the despised music of the goth/punk/emo/whatever group.

    The grunge-goth-punk situation is starting to grow, but nearly all of them are fake, as they dye their hair black, smoke pot, get pissed on alcohol and stuff. Actually, when they're not pissed/stoned, they can be really nice people. Some of my friends are part of thsi classification.

    I would say I'm half nerd and half goth? o.0
    I don't know why they would do that. They don't have to act certain ways to be classified as a certain group or whatever. It's more like the stereotypes are taking over and nobody really knows what the real punk/goth is like..

    There really isn't anything T-Domeish about this thread...So I'll just move it to OVP. ^^*moved*
