Thoughts and opinions about Iris

    What do you think of Iris? Did you like her as a character? Do you think she was a worthy replacement for Dawn ? How could she have been improved?
    Would love to hear your opinions :)
     
    she was and still is my favorite traveling companion for Ash.

    Dawn was a lot better, but I have so much love for Iris idc. Could've been improved had she actually had more development of becoming a dragon master - I would have loved to see her catch a dragon type and raise it to it's final stage. Her catching dragonite showed that she's fully capable of taming dragon types, but it would have been nicer if she also had the chance to raise one from a baby.
     
    Since I never actually saw BW at all (unlike AG and DP, where I at least saw a few episodes), I can't give any accurate statements from what I've actually seen of the character. But from what I've read of her, I considered her a proper successor to Misty, and if not to her level, she at least came very close to it of the Pokegirls to not being a Hina stereotype. And she also was actually allowed to pursue her goal after she left, a major improvement compared to how they botched Misty when they removed her (which reminds me, Misty still needs to return, especially when she can't get anywhere at the gym).

She was a good replacement for Dawn, even though I do like Dawn more, but she really did work out as the next companion. I think that she could have gotten more screentime in BW season 1 and for her team to mostly consist of dragon types, but other than that she was good.

    Iris didn't seem to bad. Some people kept saying she was annoying and stuff like that but I honestly didn't find her annoying, that one goes to cilian. I thought she was a good traveling companion to ash. Granted I will admit that I like Ash's other female traveling companions more. But overall I liked Iris character.
     
    Iris had more potential But the idiot from BW Series ruined her for good.
    And She will be even more hated if Ash release his Goodra when She still keeping her Dragonite.
    I just hope she doesn't reappear with Garchamp or Gabite ! It would be like adding Salt into fire.
