Thoughts on creating tilemaps??

    I'm pretty new to these decomps, I'm experimenting with making new tilesets/maps/metatiles/whatever. What's the general census on using the 12 palettes available? How do you go about dividing them? 0-trees, 1-rocks, 2-buildings or is it more complex?
