I have been seriously thinking that Pokemon games have stagnated and become the same, linear story all over again. With Nintendo, it seems all about bringing the next generation, and while this is cool, it seems to me its gotten a little boring. There are some great games that can be made just based on the legends of some of the Pokemon. For instance, its hinted in a Pokedex entry for Banette that it came about as a vengeful spirit of a doll cast aside by a child. Kadabra is rumored to be a boy with psychic abilities that woke up one morning as a Pokemon. Clefairy is rumored to have arrived on meteors from space. Wouldn't you like a game that told how these events took place? Give me some thoughts on this issue. Maybe we can convince Nintendo to take the Pokemon games in a new and exciting direction.

P.S. : If you are fine with the way Pokemon games are now, you can express your opinions about that here, as well. Your opinion is your own, and nobody can tell you different.

Nintendo can't do anything about that since it's Game Freak that makes the main series Pokémon games.

I'd love to see a game based on legends like those and I'd definitely buy it. I'd love to see Lugia's legend in the game as described in these Pokédex descriptions:

Diamond, Pearl, Black & White: "It sleeps in a deep-sea trench. If it flaps its wings, it is said to cause a 40-day storm."

Ruby & Sapphire: "LUGIA's wings pack devastating power - a light fluttering of its wings can blow apart regular houses. As a result, this POKéMON chooses to live out of sight deep under the sea."

Crystal: "It has an incredible ability to calm raging storms. It is said that Lugia appears when storms start."

LOL My bad. Just pretend that you see "Game Freak" where-ever you see "Nintendo" in my little paragraph.
