    Just out of curiosity, is there a way to make it so that I'm automatically subscribed to any thread I post in??

    Yeah, there is.

    Thread Tools -> Subscribe to Thread.

    It's at the top of the first post in a thread. :P
     
    Edit Options -> Default Thread Subscription Mode

    You can choose what kind of subscription you'd prefer and that'll be the default setting whenever you make a post.
