Well, this is my first Pokemon one-shot. Believe it or not, this horrible story took a lot of time, and dedication to writing. I almost gave up, because it was so hard to write. But here I am, giving my finished copy. If you guys don't like it, please give comments, because in all honesty, I hate comments with no advice or criticism. I can accept good comments, however.
And with further ado, I present to you...

Time Stops for No One
Finally, it was time to go home, for good. He didn't think he could go on anymore. He knew what it was like to be a trainer, to continue on, keep traveling, even at the cost of his normal life. And in the end, it was what took him down the path of time.
He always kept forgetting the time, always making empty promises. The person he just met, if only for a short time. He promised that he would come back to her one day. He already knew he would never be able to see her again. What about the person before her?
He lied to everyone. He gave empty promises, that in the end, he could never keep. He finally found out what it was like to become a trainer.
To become a trainer, you must take the bonds that you cherish the most, and destroy them.
It wasn't that he regretted his decisions. After all, he got to make friends, even if he had to part with them, and go on alone.
But he knew, that one time in Johto.
When his first friend left... He knew at that point, that the dream he had, the one thing keeping him going, and not just giving up and going home, was slowly slipping away…
He knew that everything had suddenly become too easy, and he had gotten careless because of it.
But now wasn't the time to think about that.
The one person who he betrayed the most, that was who deserved his attention the most.
He was going to be late, late for the one person who had given everything for him, sacrificed everything for him.
Even when she knew that she would never see him again for a long time, she smiled.
He took it for granted, never seeing the slightly tense nerve on her neck, the nerve that she could not break, even if she wanted to.
He never heard her sobs, her wishing that everything would just end, that they could just start over…
He never left with a proper good-bye.
He had just left, after he finished the Shin'ou league.
After Hoenn, it was the last time he ever saw her.
He just left onto the new region, exploring more and more, just putting the thought of her away.
But he just knew that he would never finish his journey, his dream to become the 'ultimate Pokémon Master' fading away, becoming nothing but a broken dream.
But then again, dreams were never to last, for they were simply dreams, and not reality.
It was why he stayed at Mt. Silver. He had nothing else to look forward to.
He remembered that one time he dreamt his father and he went into the expensive amusement park that he had always wanted to go to, but they never had enough money. It was all it took for his mother to not cry down pathetically when she heard his feeble request.
One day, he was able to go. His father had just finished work, and he got a bonus. Finally, they were able to go! He enjoyed the merry-go-round, the Ferris wheel, everything! The thing called a cotton candy was just so exciting!
Then it happened.
His father had told him to wait while he went to fetch something, and he instead went and got up into the roller coaster. Near the end of the ride, the roller coaster went berserk. It started to go at an abnormal pace, and when his father found out, he got the attention of the park managers. The park managers were able to fix it, and after the ride, everyone was getting off. He was about to get off. Then the roller coaster broke. It destroyed the building that went up, up and away and threw him right out the ride. It was lucky, they said, that he survived a 40-foot jump.
Then they found the body.
He always blamed himself for that accident.
He swore he could never lose again, but he lost more and more as time went on.
He lost his friends, he lost his father, and he lost himself.
Now he had to hurry, to find her and make up for all the things he had done wrong.
He had to find her, and pray that he could be forgiven for all of his mistakes, whether intentional or accidental.
He had to find her, so he could find himself, and forgive himself.
So he kept running, running to many places, running from the trees to the graveyard, as it was the closest thing available.
As he kept running, he saw the names pasted onto the graveyards. A Professor Samuel Oak, Gary Oak, Misty Waterflower, and so on, reminding him, that he had gotten out of touch for so long, neglected the time for so long…
One fateful glance made him stop right there, at his feet.
He never reached the hospital. He never reached her. He didn't even reach anything, at that point.
He could only stand and look, as if frozen to the spot.
There was a grave right there, and it was broken, and disturbed. Its shabbiness wasn't the thing that caught his eyes, however, but the printing that was scrawled on it.

CARING MOTHER
LOVED BY EVERYONE
it was all he could do to stop crying.
He didn't reach her in time.
He was too late.
And so he saw the last three words engraved on the pathetic tomb that was supposed to house his mother's body, through the corner of his eye, after several minutes.
GONE TOO SOON
He couldn't stop the tears that flew out now, streaming as badly as the time he found out his father was dead, going into shock, and then forgetting that he was dead. He thought of all the things he lost.
He thought of everyone he had lost, of how everyone wished he would just come back; just see them again for the last time. Now, he would never again be able to see her smiling face, see her true smile once more.
He wished to just start over, just be given another chance, for God to please, just please give one more chance for him to do right.
God wasn't there, and all that was there was the rain that fell downwards now, as if the angels of God had pitied the lone person, completely out of the loop of time.
And Ash Ketchum was reminded that even he couldn't stop time.

Please bear with me the bad storyline, the bad plot, and stuff, but this is my first writing Pokemon, and it was terribly hard to do. I kept checking, but I know that there are mistakes, and all you have to do is find them. Please point any said mistakes, and I will happily oblige. I also apologize if this is breaking any rules, or whatnot, so please tell by either PM, or message me at my email, which can be found at my profile. And please do not add me to any WLM without a given reason. So I hope you enjoyed my story, and I hope to continue writing at PokeCommunity!
From,

(PS: I'm a little too cold to think straight, so excuse me if I get a little snappish)
EDIT: A rewrite went on, thanks to some helpful reviews from Fanfiction.Net, I have rewritten the original to make it better. And since no one updated, that means they all hate it. Boo hoo...
