My 3RD GEN team. Make sure you read my strategy at the bottom of the page! It's important. Now for the patient you'll be performing this surgey on:

    EDIT 2: My counter list:

    - Tyranitar-Steelix and Scizor. Both can beat TTar
    - Salamence-Kingdra as my lead outspeeds it after one DD with the rain in play
    - Metagross-Dispatched by steelix. Slaking can nail it as well, but not nearly as effectively
    - Celebi-Slaking, after Hypno sets up light screen and reflect.
    - Zapdos-Steelix, easy. It counters all its attacks and toxic wears it down
    - Raikou-Steelix again for the same reasons as zapdos, except EQ can be used now
    - Swampert-Slaking can hopefully OHKO it w/ hyper beam, or kingdra w/ surf in the rain
    - Milotic-Blastoise wears down any milotic rather well.
    - Suicune-Blastoise again causes problems. Slaking can finish it off if Blastoise somehow faints
    - Heracross-Scizor, hands down can take it out with AA. Slaking as well if it could survive...
    - Gengar-Slaking with light screen up. OHKO
    - Snorlax-Slaking can really nail this bad boy. Same goes for powered up Scizor
    - Blissey-Slaking with the OHKO!
    - Jirachi-Steelix and Hypno take it out, no problems
    - Dugtrio-Kingdra and Slaking, unless I got unlucky with critical hits and such. I'd have reflect up for sure - Skarmory-Hypno can beat it after a few fire punches, or Kingdra with Surf in the rain - Starmie-Slaking or Scizor. If they fall before I can get them there's always Hypno - Gyarados-Tough one. Blastoise and Slaking can hurt it, but I don't have a tremendous counter for it

a little messed up I know.

EDIT: I might replace jolteon with:

    Scizor@Leftovers
    Adamant Nature
    EVs: 252 Attack, 132 Defense, 126 HP
    ~Baton Pass
    ~Swords Dance
    ~Wing Attack/AA
    ~Silver Wind, PP maxed

So, yeah. A physical tank-ish BPing Scizor. Helps steelix and slaking be better attackers. Also a much needed heracross counter, a sure OHKO w/ AA.

    Kingdra@Lum Berry
    Modest Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 240 Special Attack, 18 Speed
    ~Rain Dance
    ~Surf
    ~Dragonbreath
    ~Ice Beam

My probable lead. Rain Dance and I'm at 414 speed...ouch. Yeah, already EV trained and at level 100. I'm taking Suggestions on the moveset though.

    Hypno@Leftovers
    Calm Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Special Defense, 6 Special Attack
    ~Reflect
    ~Light Screen
    ~Fire Punch
    ~Psychic

My pseudo-passing special wall. Fire punch for steels...that kind of thing. Besides reflect and light screen, I am 100% clueless about the moveset, or the last wo moves really. So yeah, rip it apart if you must.

    Steelix@Leftovers
    Impish Nature
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 6 Attack
    ~Earthquake
    ~Explosion
    ~Roar
    ~Toxic

Toxishuffling Physical Wall. Is a nice counter to zapdos really...kinda. It withstands all of its attacks, so it can stall it out. With over 350 HP and 548 max D, this thing can really take a hit. Explosion when suffering if there's no one better to switch in. That's my steelix. Can even deal with TTar, depending on the TTar. My 2nd candidate for being my lead...fast and strong.

    Slaking@Choice Band
    Jolly Nature
    EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
    ~Hyper Beam
    ~Focus Punch
    ~Shadow Ball
    ~Aerial Ace

My only physical sweep. Hyper Beam OHKOs lots of stuff, which is a plus with STAB and the choice band. Its only backbone is that special defense, but that's what Hypno and blastoise are for. Shadow ball for ghosts, focus punch for steels. Aerial Ace is a filler...so I don't care at all if you replace it.

    Blastoise@Leftovers
    Bold Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 132 Defense, 126 Special Defense
    ~Rapid Spin
    ~Seismic Toss
    ~Counter
    ~Yawn

My rapid spinner and kind of heracross counter. Uh, somebody help with this moveset! I have a bulky water weakness sorta, so blastoise is to beat CMcune and other threats. Please, I NEED help with Blastoise, so help help help!

    Jolteon@Leftovers
    Timid Nature
EVs: 252 Speed, 132 HP, 126 Special Defense
    ~Wish
    ~Thunderbolt
    ~Thunder Wave/Agility
    ~Bite/Baton Pass

Jolteon...Baton Passer with wish support. Need help with those last two moveslots. It can counter gyrados as I can switch in before it if finished DDing up and using taunt. Thunderbolt does a number on it. Yay! It deals with the water types blastoise and slaking can't deal with, like starmie...or at least dents them. Maybe put thunder since I have rain dance on kingdra? I dunno. Help this sad little Jolteon. I might replace it with raichu, but I dunno.

STRATEGY: I'll only list one. My team is weak to heracross, so this was my stategy. Use wish with jolteon, Bring in Blastoise, and use counter to OHKO it. Simple. I will pretty much always switch out after one attack with Slaking, and let a wall take the hit. That's about it...help this team now...please.

I would post a counters list, but you all know my team's weaknesses. So, thanks in advance. Dissect this team all you want!

    ~Ice Beam

My probable lead. Rain Dance and I'm at 414 speed...ouch. Yeah, already EV trained and at level 100. I'm taking Suggestions on the moveset though. Rest is cured by Lum Berry. HP electric can take care of water types that IceBeam freely out of Kingdra. HP electric is my way.

    Steelix@Lefties/Macho Brace
    Impish Nature
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 6 Attack

    Blastoise@Leftovers

I am gonna type 25 characters

    Scizor @: Salac Berry
    Trait: Swarm
    Jolly Nature
    Substitute
    Agility
    Baton Pass
    Silver Wind/Pursuit.
Substitute activates Salac Berry simply, Agility+Baton Pass is simple too. Pursuit for switching out, or Silver wind for increasing Stats then Baton Passing that.

Yeah, basically it's 3rd gen (aren't all my teams?). I'm taking out jolteon for scizor...yeah. Really, any pokemon not weak to fighting type will do in that last spot. I like Scizor as a phyical Tank/Sweeper though, and a BPer too.

EDIT: I NEED a flying attack, otherwise I can't stop heracross, which is bad, very bad.

but if you really need Jolteon, Here,

    Jolteon @: Petaya Berry/Leftovers
    Trait: Volt Asorb
    Timid Nature
    Thunderbolt
    Substitute
    Baton Pass
    Thunder Wave.

Well, I'm using Scizor. Thanks though, I'll probably use that jolteon set in the near future. Here's Chromo, the Scizor:

    Scizor@Leftovers/Shell Bell**Chromo
    Jolly Nature
    EVs: 252 Attack, 132 HP, 126 Defense
~Silver Wind (need a bug move, great for BPing if I get the stat boost)
~Aerial Ace (for heracross as I have no counter for it.)
~Swords Dance (to power up and to BP to slaking and steelix)
    ~Baton Pass (yeah, pretty obvious)

    That's my Scizor. Bombs away.

Aerial Ace can be Used, so that's good. I'd say replace Silver Wind for Pursuit if you're good at predicting. Otherwise, that set is fine.

Yeah, but pursuit is a special attack in 3rd gen which is a shame...but I'm stuck with the set I just posted? Here's my counter list. I couldn't find a better one, but I added a few at the end.

    - Tyranitar-Steelix and Scizor. Both can beat TTar

Sorry, it got a little messed up when I copied and pasted it. There ya go. I'm worried I don't have an electric or water attack...should I be?

Gyarados is more of a threat in the 4th Gen due to Physical water moves being accessible, however I think a Tauntdos variety was around in the 3rd gen... not too sure though I never really grasped the metagame then

Well, yeah. Gyarados had taunt, DD, EQ, and HP flying/return in 3rd gen. Blissey is the same in both generations really. Gyarados is the one pokemon I'm worried about. Should I have a pokemon with an electric move to cover it? Or can Slaking OHKO it with Hyper Beam after switching in? Any holes in my counter list? I'm also kinda concerned about starmie...should I be? I'm willing to replace Scizor as long as the replacement isn't weak to fighting and is actually better for this team than Scizor. Otherwise, is my team good? Like, on a scale of 1-10? Thanks for the help everybody.
