Still a newb with this so go easy. I would love to get super scoop up in there somehow... I dont understand why everyone has Mewtwo EX in these decks and why everyone loves junk arm so much?

    Edit to trainer cards*

Almost everyone has Mewtwo EX because it is its own best counter, and people run it because its first attack can be easily powered up when it's on the bench in deck like ZekEels.

Junk Arm is ridiculously useful in a deck like ZekEels where the two cards you discard can be Lightning Energy in order to get back a very useful trainer like Pokemon Catcher, Revive, or Pokemon Communication, but mostly just Pokemon Catcher is what people use it for.

Though Junk Arm and all other cards from sets released before Black & White will be rotated September 1st. But several of your cards aren't tournament legal even now, such as Galactic HQ.

I personally think you should drop Lanturn Prime and Chinchou from the deck, as there isn't really a whole lot they counter when it comes to covering the weaknesses of ZekEels right now.

Ohh ok. So People dont use Mewtwo EX for its psydrive, only for X Ball? But in that case you would get around 100 or 120 damage done by that attack assuming you didnt over lode and the other person had three or four energy cards attached.

If you compare that to Lanturn Prime who's attack dose 40hp+ the number of energy cards that are out, it wouldnt be that hard (between the two benches) to have more than 8 active energy cards would it? Plus you can change the attack to be effective against fire types by using Lanturn Prime's poke-power (or just leave it the same). It is allot slower having to use a card that evolves though...

I didnt even realize some of these cards werent legal :S so might have to work that out before i get myself in trouble haha.

Out of the trainers i have would it be worth changing any of them for something else? Obviously I should swap galactic hq for Skyarrow Bridge.

Also, do you think i would get away with only having 3 tynamo?

The idea of the attack, with DCEs and the ability to drop Lightning Energy onto it while it sits on your bench, is to power it up to a crazy amount to KO stuff with 1 hit, so that your opponent is forced to send forward Pokemon that aren't ready to attack for a few more turns so you can get a few KOs before they can remove your Mewtwo EX from play.

You're reading Lanturn's attack the wrong way. The attack only looks at your half of the field for energy in play. There are Pokemon that are probably more beneficial for attacking quickly as Stage 1s (that have about as much HP as Lanturn, actually), like Raichu from HGSS (does 100 for 2 lighting - at the cost of discarding them, though it only has 90 HP) or Raichu Prime from HGSS Undaunted (does 120 for 2 lightning and 1 colorless, though it only has 100 HP). Presently, Fire-types seem to be irrelevant in the current format, since their best decks, Reshiboar and Reshiphlosion, are highly susceptible to having their most important Pokemon targeted by Catcher, so the Fire-type coverage is a bit superfluous right now anyway since you're already running Zekrom EX, which can KO just about anything fairly quickly.

Lanturn vs. Mewtwo is also a matter of Lanturn being very vulnerable to Catcher because of needing to get Chinchou into play first, while Mewtwo may be able to take a hit or two.

I personally am a fan of Cilan for energy consistency, but you don't have to use it.

You could definitely get away with having just 3 Tynamo.

Awesome! Thanks for the input. Heres my second crack at making a Zekel deck. I think its allot better than the first effort. Really appreciate the input :D
