4th Gen To begin game with Gen I starters

    i just started pokemon soul silver, my friend already beat his pokemon soul silver and has the gen I starters that i want to trade for and start my pokemon game with, would this work?
     
    You can only do it from hacking. The gen 1 starters can't be traded without the national dex.
     
    hmm thanks, well there all lv 5 n only know 1 move welp im jus waitin to get my hands on a 2nd DS to try this ill let u know if it works or not

    aww well thats jus great so ill have to use that action replay thing

    Actually, you can trade over the Gen I starters before the National Dex. You are allowed to trade any Pokémon over into HG/SS as soon as you have access to trade. So, yes you can obtain the Kanto starters, but like mentioned before their are a couple complications such as disobedience if you don't have enough badges, etc.

    Other than that, I'd suggest using the HG/SS Help Thread for further questions.
