Too late to change my team?

I'm quite a number of hours into the game and have just started the third island. I've done some reading up and have heard the game gets quite difficult going forward and am now thinking I maybe need to make some changes to my team! I'm a bit worried it is not strong enough.

At the moment I am using

    Brionne
    Charjabug
    Salandit (F)
    Toucanon
    Crabrawler

There is space for a 6th team member which I haven't decided on yet. Would welcome any recommendations.

My intention was to evolve my Charjabug to Vikavolt and Crabrawler to Crabominable but was disappointed to learn you can't do this until the last island :(

At the moment I've found it challenging but not overly difficult. My biggest challenge was Tapu Lele which took about 4 attempts to defeat because it kept wiping out my pokemon with its solar blade and regaining health with synthesis. Also, Hau's Raichu now knows Psychic, which I wasn't expecting!

So is it too late to start re-organising my team now, or should I just crack on with the team I've got? I really wanted to use the new SM pokemon rather than the pre-gen ones, but I don't know which ones are strong and which are useless.

I have Tapu Koko through mystery gift but unfortunately its way over levelled at lv 60. I feel a bit like I'd be cheating if I used him.

Overall, it seems like you've got a great range of types in the Pokemon you have chosen. I'm not sure what level your Pokemon are at but because you've just reached the last island, I'd assume they're at the late 20's early 30's. Here are some of the Pokemon you can get on the previous 2 islands and the island you are on now that I think would work well to further diversify your team:

Mareanie (poison/water) - found at levels 10-20 at route 9 or Melemele sea
Mudbray (ground) - found at levels 26-29 on route 12
Minior (rock/flying) - found at levels 25-28 on Mount Hokulani
Beldum (steel/psychic) - found at levels 25-28 on Mount Hokulani
Mimikyu (ghost/fairy) - found at levels 29-32 in Thrifty Megamart

Any of those Pokemon, especially Mimikyu, would definitely diversify your team. On a side note, I have bred every starter Pokemon from Gen.1 to Gen.7, I'd be more than happy to trade you any starter from any of the 7 generations if you'd like. The only thing is that they would be at level one and you'd have to train them quite a bit. Hope the list above helps!
