Took a shining charm from a Pokémon!?

Back on Pokémon black/white 2 - I got traded a shiny Weavile, and it was holding a shining charm, I took it - curious to see what it was and when I researched it, it was something you get for completing the Pokédex, any ideas what's happened here?

Apparently someone hacked a Shiny Charm onto a Weavile and you ended up receiving it. Pokemon can't hold key items like the Shiny Charm.

But it's still a pretty damn lucky thing to have happen. Now you don't have to complete the National PokdeDex for optimal shiny hunting.
