Im sorry if this may sound like a dumb question but is the Pokemon Essentials compatible with other tools specifically Pokeemerald Battle Engine Upgrade by DizzyEgg?

Nope, Essentials is an RPGXP Project which is to be run on Windows and DizzyEgg's Battle Engine Upgrade is for a GBA Rom of Pokemon Emerald.

Anyways 90% of the things in the Battle Engine Upgrade are already coded into Essentials 17.2 (ie everything except Gen 7 stuff which should be in v18). All the Gen 8 Mechanics can be added from here:

And anything that you specifically need from the Battle Engine can be found by a quick google search of the feature with "Pokemon Essentials" at the end. Eg. "Chain Fishing Pokemon Essentials", "PokeRide Pokemon Essentials", "Z-Moves Pokémon Essentials", Dynamax Pokémon Essentials"

As for adding new Pokemon and Items and all to your game just search for "Gen 6/7/8 PBS for Pokemon Essentials v17.2" on Google. Pokemon and Items till Gen 5 have already been added.
