Top 10 Netbattle/Battle Attacks

In general, there is no Top 10 Attacks. Many attacks work well with certain Pokemon. 'Nuff said.

Ice Beam, ThunderBolt, Substitute, Focus Punch, Surf, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Spikes, Rest, and Calm Mind IMO

Basicly the ones I metioned are the most used, I could give you the reason but that would take too long

On certain Pokemon maybe. On all Pokemon not neccesarily.

we're not talking about specific pokemon, since every pokemon cant learn every move (except smeargle) we're talking about the most common moves used on pokemon in general

What he means is probably the attacks that are often seen in every/most teams ^^; Besides the mentioned, I wonder why Spikes never got up there... It's the single move that makes a fair amount of Pokemon useful (why would you use Cloyster if it's not for Spikes? You tell me ;p), and it also boosts Skarmory from brutal power to godliness, lol.

Spikes deserve to be mentioned~

It's kinda disheartening to see no new spikers in D/P... Guess it's still Skarmory, Cloyster, and Forretress for the next generation as well.

In some terms, yeah. There ins't a perfect attack to define.


Spikes is good but it does not have much access to other pokemon. Though it may in Diamond and Pearl. Though Cloyster could be used as a Explosion pokemon. D:

All you need is Skarm, Forry or Omastar anyway they are the best spikers and really all you need.

Rather do a thread on most popular attacks, like I did on pe2k forums. Meh, I quite like the elemental types. Here's a list:

- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

lol, like jc_rcw pointed out, rest + sleep talk + lum doesn't work, because as soon as you rest, you wake up due to lum's effect. lol....
