1. Alice in Chains - Alice in Chains
Just a masterpiece. Frogs and God Am are possibly the greatest songs I've ever heard.
2. John Frusciante - Niandra Ladies and Usually Just a T-Shirt
The first half is what you want to hear at a new extreme while the second half is the best expierimental rock I've ever heard.
3. Pearl Jam - Ten
Could there be another album with so many songs that sound just so enfused with sheer power. Vedder did his best pounding his voice into every song.
4. Misfits - Walk Among Us
To me, this is the best punk rock album I've ever heard. Every song is fast paced and like an artist who really cares, Danzig goes over the top with vocals.
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Freaky Styley
RHCPs second album is there last true funk album. The way every song is written, and with a lot of help from the legendary George Clinton, this album made it's mark. Sadly, in an poll taken last year, just 12% of their "hardcore" fans have heard this album.

In no particular order.

Anathema - A Fine Day to Exit
Hammock – Raising Your Voice... Trying to Stop an Echo
Dream Theater - Octavarium
EF - I Am Responsible!
M83 - Saturdays = Youth
Jimmy Eat World - Futures
The American Dollar – The Technicolour Sleep
Dream Theater – Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
Lights Out Asia – Eyes Like Brontide
Disillusion - Back to Times of Splendor
Anathema - A Natural Disaster
Opeth - Ghost Reveries
Katatonia - Night Is the New Day
Riverside - Second Life Syndrome

I guess that would be pretty accurate. :P
