Torterra, Empoleon, ... Infernape (Theory)

Hey, this is a pretty good theory. Although no one got a Swampert in AG, (although, this could also be partly due to Brock getting a starter and he doesn't battle much) there seem to be much more evolutions in DP. I hope Ash gets Infernape before the league.
 
Or another rival wil be introduced with it but I think Ash will get it.

if what this says is correct, ill bet that's the episode monferno evolves.
 
hey thats a pretty nifty episode guide there S. M but I would like to see that happen...and yeah I have been coming to a conclusion that my theory just may be correct seeing as how so many evolutions have occured so far...

*shrug* Well, the idea was to do something unexpected, and somebody evolving twice offscreen would be something new.

I like Myzou's idea a bit better than mine, though, if only for the fact it's more dramatic...
 
a pokemon evolving within a few episodes...that has happened *points to swinub and charmander*
 
True, I was going to say that, but then I remembered that both their evolutions took place onscreen. I don't think a character on the main cast has had a team member evolve twice offscreen while they were actually part of the group.

Well it makes sense, its just it doesn't seem feasible beyond Monferno right now. I mean I know you use Swinub and Charizard, but for one of them, it learned Ancient Power in the same episode it evolved. As for Charizard, we have to remember that Kanto was more a beta series where they were still trying things out.

true u do have a good point in this...but then again, have you ever considered ash keeping Chimchar/Monferno for an extra while after the Sinnoh League and it evolving there after?

Yes but the theory (at least the by the consensus's standpoint) is that the writers are building this up for the league. I can see it evolving after maybe, but by the league it doesn't seem so feasible.

I see what you mean in a way...but only the writers know what'll happen before the league...we still have two more gyms and the BIG team galactic plans to go through...and who knows what other events will be placed...along with Dawn needing 2 more ribbons...so there is still a bit of time left...

Yeah but I don't think that in that time (well I don't think at least), it's going to evolve that quickly.

like I said only the writers bascially know what'll happen now...
 
I sure hope soon we get Monferno at least and then Infernape. I don't want Chimchar to end up like Cyndaquil. Grotle evolving to Torterra may be too much to ask for but it can't be ruled out.
