Defensive and CBTerra are both fine. I prefer a Curser/Seeder myself.

Here is a Torterra set I would use.

Guarenteed to switch into and take out standard CB/DDTar, some* DDMence, and both bulky and normal DDGyara**. Rest when done. Makes a great physical tankish thing. I wouldn't recommend trying to win over any of the above but normal Gyara while sleeping since if Sleep Talk doesn't pick the right move you're screwed. It is strongly recommended you use this set with Stealth Rock since it makes killing things easier. You can switch the HP and Def EVs if you want; the only thing I can think of that keeping it will help at is making Specstar's Dark Pulse have a less chance of 2HKOing you but I'm sure there are other specific situations. It's up to you really.

I feel like using Torterra now but I have no Shoddy. Someone test it for me.

*Flamethrower sans Life Orb is always a 3HKO. Flamethrower with Life Orb and Fire Blast without it are sometimes a 3HKO. Don't even bother if it's Fire Blast/Life Orb.
** Ice Fang = no. Don't try it.

Hmmm, I've always used Torterra in a Trick Room. It gets outsped too often and gets hit with its common weaknesses which are Fire and Ice, which are both types most special sweepers use. But, if I were to chose a set, it'd have to be-

Hmmm, I've always used Torterra in a Trick Room. It gets outsped too often and gets hit with its common weaknesses which are Fire and Ice, which are both types most special sweepers use. But, if I were to chose a set, it'd have to be-

Why would you be keeping torterra in on poekmno that can ice beam it to its grave though? I'd think leftovers would be the better option here, as the recovery helps, ESPECIALLY on a curser set.

Like I said, I only used it in TR teams. It has the ability to take an UnSTABed Ice Beam. Leech Seed provides recovery.

i'm not a big torterra fan. dies much too easily. although, you should definitely listen to sims on torterra. his gave me some trouble when we first battled. was impressive.

i gave mine rock polish for the hell. sure surprises a lot of people and takes out sweepers who expect a switch.

That doesn't matter. It BARELY survives unSTABbed Ice Beams. Stop trying to force it to take hits he cannot. He has SUPERIOR defense, so focus on that.
