Totaly Awesome trainer sprites

    This is a sample of the custom/ recolours trainers that will be in me and my buddy (Dark_fire15) rpg game Poke'mon Rising Darkness, we made these today so dont use them without premission, we arent realesing the story of the game just yet , what do you think?
     
    Erm dude...all you did was simply recolor some trainers and put them together in pairs...thats pretty lame.
     
    erm... dude Its the point, How are they as recolours, no what is lame is when people have either ---- trainers or the same old thing, these are anything but the normal sprites and didnt I say most of them were recolours?

    I see nothing that is custom, if your going to put up stuff about making custom trainers, at least produce something thats actually customly made, yes i am a big critter, but thats the point.
     
    well thank you for speaking your mind, But look closer at the images some of them are re-clolurs (I said that) and some are re-colours with custom things on them
     
    um these are pretty shabby all just recolours with maybe very small custom parts as recolours there exelent but i wouldent call them customs as a custom would be like parts of different trainers mixed to create a new trainer :)
     
    xhurukenshinx: A main rule of this forum is to not swear or even bypass the censor. Please do consider the fact that we do have younger members and should not be prone to seeing language like that.
     
    They're recolours with tiny edits, nothing even close to awesome.

    Yes, I am making more now ,Im going to do like naruto trainer sprites, some final fantsy, and a couple megaman battle network trainer sprites. If I take a trainer sprite edit it and when its finished it looks nothing like when it started would it be considered Customs?

    Edit: Well here is my attemp at a Naruto Trainer Sprite, and Darkman from megaman Battle network "image removed"

    Those last two sprites are much better than your previous sprites. They look pretty good, but naruto's legs seem somewhat messy/sloppy. Try looking through some other trainers and do something smiliar to naruto's pants. The hero, the maga/aqua team dudes, and cool trainer should be good references for you, to help fix the pants.
     
    thankyou, I kind of did those in a rush.

    Next I will try to redo- Naruto, and I will supirse everyone with something else, lol.
     
    Fix naruto's headband, it should be mainly blue with a silver emblem. his physique isn't really anything like Naruto's, neither is his expression, he looks too much like Brendan.

    Use one of the Naruto game sprites as a referance for proportions and palette.
     
    You should honestly give up on the Naruto...no offense but my friend seems to be the master of doing Custom Naruto Trainer Sprites...hes even better than me by far.
     
    well, geez thanks I really appreciate it. I just started doing trainer edits anyway. Who, is your friend I want to check out his work so I can see the areas where I need fixing.
     
    The pose and expressions don't really remind me of Naruto, the anatomy is quite bad (just appears to be some quick frankinstien creation) as is the shading and outlining, try observing others works to see how they shade, do anatomy etc.

    No, that would be called a fusion. A custom sprite is a sprite that is done completely scratch. None of your sprites here would qualify as customs, sorry. The first batch of sprites look like simple recolors to me. Your new ones are pretty awful as well. You botched the outlining, the shading is missing in some spots, and all the custom spriting you did looks like mumbo-jumbo. :\ Oh yeah...the anatomy on that last Naruto attempt looked like a 2-year old's work. That word you alluded to "people" using, seems to describe your sprites as well.
     
    Basically to face the facts...you need to really think over your spriting and actually come up with something that is actually "Custom" none of us are trying to be rude or offensive, just stating the obvious. Oh god here i sound like Vaati again XD.
