As usual I played Bolt Ogerpon, it's been a hardy deck for me the last two months, however disaster struck this week as a huge amount of Gardevoir ex was present, Bolt's worst match up.

    Round 1: festival lead - W

Had my friend Alex for the first round, not much to say about this, I mostly just got rid of Thwackey and kept bumping Festival Grounds to secure a comfortable win. Speed and denial were the name of the game.

    Round 2: Gardy - L

An old friend and former regular was back from Uni and just my luck he was playing Gardy. He had pretty dire prizing so I was able to take an early lead, but I also had probably the roughest start I've ever seen so my early lead just wasn't early enough. Had to throw away my one Lost Vacuum on T1 which wasn't a great feeling.

    Round 3: Lugia - W

Pretty cut and dry Bolt run with this, took a Lugia ex down T1, took a Lumineon V down turn 2 and took an Iron Hands ex turn 3 to secure a quick win.

    Round 4: Gardy - W

Imagine my horror when I got lumped against the Psychic beast a second time. My initial hand was pretty rough but he wasn't moving too fast either, i opted not to use Squawkabilly ex as it's such an easy target for Scream Tail, so went with Burst Roar on T1 instead to dump my hand. I was able to chase down a kirlia the next turn with baby Sandy Shocks and start building Ogrepons and Bolts on the bench. Took another Kirlia the next turn forcing him to sit behind Klefki for a turn, super rod and get the bench back online. I took out Klefki the next turn and he got a return KO with Drifloon on the baby putting me at 3 prizes and him at 5. I took drifloon the next turn and kept switch carting around the counter catchers. He turo's the Gardy to stop me getting the 2 prizes to win but it slows him down. I take Flutter Mane the next turn and leave him in a situation he cannot actually win. I take the last prize on Munkidori for a surprise win against my worst match up.

End record was 3-1, putting me in top 8 at an acceptable 6th. Fairly certain I'm still sat at the top of our League table, hoping to stay there all season!
