Wow, I actually made a serious Tokyo Mew Mew RP. O.o Is that even possible, nya?
This is based off of a book, called "The Last Dog on Earth". I've modified the plot so it would fit a Tokyo Mew Mew roleplay. You DO NOT have to have read the book in order to role play. Just make sure and read the plot. And for those who don't know, a Prion disease is a disease caused by a Prion, or folded protien, that most often travels through the muscle or nevreus(sp?) tissue. Common Prion diseased today inclue Rabies and Wasting Brain Disease(more popularly known as "Mad Cow Disease")
The Mew Mews are highly popular now. Who wouldn't be, after saving the world twice? Lots of new Mew Mews have been created. Though these "Fan-Mews" are just normal girls that were injected using scientific labs all over the world. They aren't at all related to the original Mew Project, and the thought of tons of other Mews around the world makes the original Mews uneasy. However, while they enjoy life, something unseen is in development... literally. A Prion disease, nicknamed "POS" (Psychotic Outburst Syndrome), has developed do to a malfuction is one Mew's DNA buildup, causing it to morph several cells into folded protiens.
Only Mews are able to catch it, and it is greatly reducing their popularity. Infact, several of the Fan-Mew had been murdered mysterioulsy, most likely by fearful people. There is no cure, but Ryou has concluded that should a Mew Mew be found that is immune to the disease, her protein could be manipulated into a cure anti-prion. So now Fan-Mews and Mew Mews alike search for a Mew whose genetic buildup prevents the disease, while having to avoid the disease itself.
Will you be the one to save the decreasing Mews?
Rules:
1. Absolutely NO godmodding. If you don't know, godmodding(aka "powerplaying") is controling another character that isn't your own. However, you are allowed to bring in supporting characters or plot enhancers for a few posts.
2. This is a somewhat (though not majorlly) dark RP. So unless your character has a natural hyper streak (Like Pudding, for example), they should be taking it seriously.
3. You CAN die. If I PM you saying you have POS, then you are most likely going to die, unless the cure is found right after you get it. I'm sorry, but that would make the RP more realistic. You have the chance to join as a new character if you die, though. Feel free to draw out your death or drop dead, just make sure and follow by the POS symtoms (see 'Information' part of this post)
4. Cursing should be kept to a minimum.
5. With romance, keep it to kissing and hugging Also, keep to the pairing(s) used in this RP (Ichigo/Masaya, some Ichigo/Ryou and Retasu/Ryou fluff allowed. PM me if you want me to add another pairing.).
6. Violence is allowed, though once again, keep it miminal. Bleeding, fighting, crying, etc. is allowed. Please try and avoid decapitation, amputation, or killing, unless it is to pretect yourself from someone infected with POS. Even then, get a member's permission before killing their character.
7. This is a LITERATE/SEMI-LITERATE role play. Meaning that unless your braindead, I expext a minimum of 2-3 sentences a post. And PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF EARTH, SPELL-CHECK IS YOUR FRIEND! USE IT!
8. To continue the above, please don't use stars(**) or anything else to show thought or speech. Use quotes ("") for speech and Italicaize thoughts (the little "i" button up there).
9. Aliens aren't in this one. Sorry, I couldn't find a way for them to fit in. ^^;

POS. Psychotic Outburst Syndrome. This disease is passed primarily though saliva. C'mon, don't be a sissy, it's not that gross. Since it's passed this way, that means the most common means of infection is through a bite. Victims of POS go through about a week of incubation persiod, at which time the disease seems to do nothing. Soon, however, they begin to stop eating, and have a little trouble with walking and standing. The sure way to tell someone is infected is when, after all this, they begin a period of unwakable sleep that lasts 2-4 days. When they wake, the burst into an uncontrolable rage of bloodlust for a very short time, before the adreniline rush causes them to die rather quickly. When in doubt as to whether someone is infected or not, if you take some of their muscle tissue and look at it under a microscope, small star-shaped holes will be visible if they are infected. When Mew Mews reach the final stage, they turn into the animal they are infused with when they wake up. Why? To make the concept of biting another Mew less gross. ;3
