Hey guys,

I just wondered today why posting in trade threads count as Posts to your Post count since they're post in some way aren't they...?

People say its Spammy? I don't if the mods are doing there job there should be no spam at all in the section...

First of all, RUN-ON SENTENCE. Please look up the definition.

Second, posts don't count towards your post count there because you can make extremely short posts haphazardly, which means post counts for the people who post there would skyrocket extremely quickly if we had it enabled. Why should you get post count for a post like "Typlosion 4 Butterfree?" or whatever if you aren't giving your posts substance like in other forums?

Because 85% of posts in other forums don't have substance(NOT including Other Chat)?

Besides, isn't what is considered "substance" in any given forum the topic which the post is replying to?

In the end, post count is just a number that signifies nothing substantial, so I really don't see where there's a problem here?

It's the way it is, and it's the way it'll stay. While not all the posts in other forums may not have substance by your standards, they do at least have more of a point than swapping two Pokemon in extremely short posts over and over and over. You can argue what you consider substantial until you're blue in the face, but as it stands there will be no post count in the Trade Corner.
