All of you who visit the Trade Corner forum will notice it can get very cluttered. With all the locked threads taking up most of the 1st page, trade threads that go by the rules are pushed further down.

To solve this minor problem I thought that a simple sub-forum for the TC could be made. It would just be a place that locked threads get moved to, so the main forum doesn't get cluttered.

It'd be better if it were invisible. Or thread approval could help, but then it'd still look cluttered to the moderators...y'all can Spheal with it though, right?

Could be nice if locked threads in certain sections were rendered invisible, or auto-moved to an "Eyes-only" section where you can only see your own threads that got locked. (And mods see all of them obviously)

Either that or mods could just delete more and lock less, and have h-staff make it so you can see your own soft-deleted posts and threads.

If the member really cared enough to make sure their thread that was sent in for approval actually did want to know why it wasn't approved (assuming they're asking after 24 hours after posting it), they'd just ask the mod (trust me...I get swamped with it lol). Most people though, but this is only speaking from the Challenge forum perspective, don't even ask if their challenge got approved and tbh, the ones that don't ask and that posted a random challenge (that gets deleted of course), I usually never see them on PC like...ever. lol

Though I could see where members being able to see their deleted threads etc could come in handy. Either suggestion works here though, imo.

Can't topic just be merged to Quick Trade Thread without a topic shadow? Locked topics there or ones that have topic shadows to Quick Trade Thread definitely need to have something done with it, because then you get people that have to constantly bump their thread so it gets back to the first page. That or create a subforum for shops only and have it set to approval.

    I really like this idea.
I also have another suggestion: As you may already know, quite a few people request to have their own shops closed for one reason or another (lack of time, got bored, etc.). I think it would be a good idea to have those shops moved into a "locked shop archive" or something. That way it would further reduce clutter, and make it easier for the shop owner to find their thread in case they wanted to reopen it.

You know, thread moderation wouldn't be too bad of an idea in there, I bet. :/ All the quick-traders who can't read the stickies wouldn't clutter up the rest of the board. And everyone else has to follow a format to a certain degree, so people who don't follow wouldn't take up the space either.

But it would come down to whether or not the mods wanted to deal with thread moderation. It can be kind of annoying to keep up with, especially with all the "WHERE IS MY THREAD" VMs and PMs.

That in mind though, I don't think it's TOO terrible. Some people don't even notice the thread needs approval tbh. Like I said, some people just send in a thread and never appear again. But challenges and trades are obviously different. But just felt like I should toss that in.

"Maybe have a forum for just shops(include an index for helpful browsing), and then have the regular forum house topics that used to be in Quick Trade Thread. Or have a subforum for Giveaways and maybe services like Trade Backs, Rare Candying, EV Training, Breeding Eggs, or whatever else could be considered under a service that is allowed here. I think at least one of those avenues would reduce clutter, and it would seem you have more room to expand since you are no longer attached to Competitive Battling Forum."
This is a VM I sent to TwilightBlade, I dunno if she saw it or not.

Basically we wouldn't have to overly worry about thread approval. The thread approval would be in the Shops subsection(if at all possible). This would probably reduce the wheres my thread vms and pms because the people who make the Shops generally read the guidelines to the forum, so they would read the new policy and in turn the guidelines as too what a proper trade thread should consist of so that process should flow smoothly. Then all the small time traders can post to their hearts content. Maybe add some new suffixs like [Dex Filler], [Trade Evolution], [Rare Candy Assistance], [Items]. Or if you can merge without having a topic shadow that may also be an option.

I think that thread approval could be a bit too much for Aura and Blade tbh. ): I mean there's a lot of threads made each day that should belong in the QTT. I think that having a sub-forum for Shops, Services etc. Could get very confusing for new members. \: If a sub-forum for just locked threads was made that was only visible to the staff members it would be a lot easier and a lot less cluttered.

^ This. I'd prefer TC have a subforum for the closed threads and junk than thread approval. I don't see a problem with having a graveyard visible to staff only, since it'll definitely be easier to keep the section less cluttered than having approvals which could cause minor problems (i.e. - where did my thread go? why didn't you approve it? i put all my effort into it!) and it's just not necessary if you can have something like a graveyard which could avoid the need of thread approvals there.

The graveyard could be just like the Style Dropbox in the CS section. Only Staff and you can see the threads you posted that got put in there. No one else could see what's actually in there that belongs to someone else.

I prefer the graveyard of quick trade thread. Tbh I don't see the problem with members being able to see it either - they'd see it in the main forum as it is anyway, then they can look for their thread if they really care about it. Aaaand of course disallow new threads in that forum. That's possible, right?
