tradeing?

i'm playing crystal and firered at the moment. i wanted to trade my charizard to my crystal version but it won't let me... is it because i'm using a gameboy & advance sp? or that the games just aren't compatable like that?

Both, gameboy and gameboy advanced sp or not compatible and the 3rd gen games (ruby sapphire emerald FR LG) are not compatible with the 2nd gen games (gold silver crystal)

If you would like t trade Charizard into your crystal version, you must trade Charizard from the Red, Blue, or Yellow versions using the time capsule.
