4th Gen Trading a caterpie

    I traded the other day, with someone wanting a caterpie of all things. What reason might they want it for?
     
    Maybe they wanted to waste your time?

    What pokemon did you get for it, and does it seem legit?

    Or the person that traded with you may either:

    1. Love Butterfrees and been totally desperate to get a Caterpie
    2. Wanted a foreign Pokemon. I don't know :o

    Or perhaps they're trying to collect different ID numbers for the Jubilife Lottery and figure Caterpie's a Pokemon people are likely to agree to part with.
     
    Maybe they wanted a ninja one.

    But I think Elite-o is right. Jubilife lottery spammers.
     
    Maybe they didn't have the National Dex yet, and wanted a Caterpie early? I know before I had my National Dex I tried to get Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur.
