2nd Gen Trading I to NSTC

A funny thing happened about 4-5 years ago(I think). It was when Silver and gold weren't out yet, but I was lucky enough to get a Imported copy of Gold.

I played that thing like a bango, I couldn't really understand anything, but I was a great in it. I was so happy with the new Poke'mon and such.

So about 2 years from then my friend got Silver, NSTC version(English). I was curious and asked if he wantd to battle. Sure. It took awhile (Think in inported versions, Yes and No were switched xD) to load the battle, but When we battled, My screen poped up with Geovanni, his Someone else. He sent out a Gengar, but my friend really sent out a Misdreavous then the game crashed, xD.

Anyway it was fun...I wanted to know if you could trade?

I have a Sapphire from China and I am able to trade with Australian version, Ruby but they are different versions so they may not work...

The GBA games have no language barrier. Just like the DS games now.
So you can trade with a Japanese Ruby and Italian Sapphire! o_o

But the GB/C games have.
If you try to connect 2 games from different languages you run in the risk to loose your savegame! XD
Not mentioning that it probably wouldn't work correct like in your case! XP

xD, Well Next time I play Gold(It killed itself after 3 years in dust) I'll try again, maybe in trade I'll get different Poke'mon...xD.

It is possible. Tch, version differences CAN cause some pretty crappy stuff ta happen, tch, those Nintendo goons didn't bother ta put in a detection system that would allow different versions not to connect for incompatibility reasons.

For example, a trade between jap Blue an' US Blue IS possible, but will screw up tha savegame. T_T
