3rd Gen Trading in GBA Pokemon

Hey guys another question. I tried this earlier today but either it doesnt work or i did it wrong. Here's my question:

Is it possible to trade between FireRed and Emerald (both already have the national pokedex) using 2 Nintendo DS? Or can I only do it through 2 Gameboy advances? Thanks for your time!

Nope, you need to do it with a GBA or a GBA SP. The GBA link cable doesn't work with the Nintendo DS. I've tried it before with a friend when the DS was still new.

You also need to beat the E4 in FR/LG.
