4th Gen Trading question for pearl

I'm just wondering how i can even get a charmander or elekid to my 4th gen game. Ps i only have the pearl game so don't suggest pal park

Can't, unless you trade. Charmandar you need to Pal Park, but since you can't you need to trade. Elekid you need to insert FR into your GBA slot, but since you obviously cant do pal park and so probably dont have it, you'll need to trade from platinum or wifi.

Either local wifi trading then (with a friend with their own game and DS to trade with you in person if they have it), or Nintendo Wifi trading via the GTS (requires you to have 'seen' the Pokemon to ask for it though) or the wifi room in which the trade can be organised in the Trade Forum section - you need a Nintendo wifi router or a wireless wifi connection that will work with Nintendo products - many will and if you have any problems/wish to check you can use the Nintendo website easily enough as they have a very extensive FAQ/list with that. The finer ins and outs on trading in Pokemon games is in the game manuel itself. (Note you can also get those Pokemon in HGSS but you only mention Pearl... so I assume you don't have access to those. If you do then local wifi trading via a 2nd DS/DS lite/3ds/etc).
