yus and yus, xD i was obsessed with trading when i was younger. I was so eager to get my pokemon to evolve

It was always a great idea! Spending money on all the necessary stuff so GameFreak can get rich, the risk of something getting ****ed up in Gen 1, and not to mention the fact that Pokémon isn't a commonplace interest in populations of people ages 11 and older! Do all that just to complete a goddamn Pokédex! Isn't that just the greatest idea you've EVER heard? :D

:P

11? Try 19.
I still play pokemon, because it defined my childhood. Luckily the people I played with back then still play. The problem: They went and got DSes, while I still play the originals(RBY & GSC) and FR/LG. I absolutely HATE the new games and their new garbage pokemon.
Long story short, I can't wait for HG/SS. I can't see myself buying and playing any game after that.

Oh, yeah, trading evolutions are garbage. Whenever I play a game on an emulator, first thing I do is change the evolution from trade to level(60).

I personally think that it is a horrible idea. Trading should be just an option, not needed to complete a pokedex.

It was cool at first since I had a bunch of friends that play and we all had link cables. But now that we are up to the DS era, it sucked at first, since none of my friends play the new ones or even own a DS for that matter. But since they came out with the DSi, I liked the features it had and got that eventually after saving up. So now I have my banged up old DS and my shiny new DSi to trade between :D

But yeah it really isn't fair for people who can't afford to buy another DS and cartridge, and or who have no access to WiFi.
