4th Gen Tradition before the 1st Gym.

I usually evolve my starter before the first gym (even when I had Turtwig), and usually have 2 other pokémon or more before I get there.
 
normally i just wiz through the game as quik as pos, but i just started a new game n was on my way to the gym n thought hang on a sec its gettin a bit borrin usin only legenderies n ur starter n a high leval monsta from vic. road. so i trained my monferno to lv. 14, onix to level 12, n shink and starly to lv. 11
 
My Pokemon are usually around level 14-18 at Roarks Gym... just from killing wild pokemon and trainers pokemon, no extra training.
